A Disappointing Return to the World of Symbiotes.

If you were hoping for a grand finale to the Venom franchise that would surpass the comedic heights of its predecessors, you're in for a letdown. While Venom: The Last Dance does deliver on the comedic front, it falls short in nearly every other aspect.

The film picks up right where we left off, with Eddie Brock and Venom still on the run. The plot takes a convoluted turn as they become embroiled in a government conspiracy involving symbiotes and a dangerous threat to the universe. While the premise is intriguing, the execution feels rushed and often confusing.

The real draw of this film, as with its predecessors, is the chemistry between Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock and the voice of Venom. Their banter and witty exchanges provide much-needed humor and keep the film entertaining. However, the comedic elements can feel forced at times, and the overall tone can be uneven.

The film's biggest flaw is its reliance on poor CGI and even worse dialogue. The visual effects, particularly those involving the titular symbiote, often feel like a step back from previous entries. Venom's appearances are fleeting, and when he does appear in full form, he's often overshadowed by lackluster animation.

The script is equally disappointing. The story lacks depth and originality, and the characters feel one-dimensional. The dialogue is often cringe-worthy, and the pacing feels uneven. While there are a few moments of humor that might elicit a chuckle, they're not enough to salvage the film.

Ultimately, Venom: The Last Dance is a missed opportunity. It's a shame that such a potentially fun franchise has ended on such a sour note.

Unbelievable disappointing

I think I have found a pattern of disappearing films that whenever a film is over hyped ( especially with the previous ones) it is doomed to be a failure. Like the Minions and like this one The only three stars is for venom horse, venom fish and venom frog. But sadly we have seen them all, the only highlights in the trailer. It's ganz catastrophe.

I don't know what more can I say. But I must reach the character amount requirement to post this warning, to make sure you carefully thinking about it before you booking the film ticket. It's a waste of money and time. It won't live up to your expectations and you can hardly get anything you want.

That's all. Hope you can find something more worthy in cinema.

Waste Your Time With Something Else

From start to finish, Venom The Last Dance, disappointed in every way possible.

Both Venom and Eddie had no character development within the movie to signify their growth both as partners and individuals.

Eddie seems to be in a constant depressive episode throughout the whole movie that does not go well with Venoms upbeat attitude.

In general, The Last Dance started with no evident point to where the storyline was headed. A few random scenes were added for comedic effect, which were poorly done. The only exciting parts were a few of the action scenes. However, even then the stars of those parts were not Eddie or Venom but rather the new symbiotes characters.

In conclusion, there were concepts of a plot.

"Now that's horsepower!"

What a strange movie.

At times, it shows promise, with a sense of build-up worthy of an MCU entry and a faithful comic adaptation. The beginning offers some visually compelling sci-fi scenes, it has a solid cast of people and creatures, and some good CGI throughout.

However, the majority of the film feels completely uninspired and underwritten. Dialogue remains subpar, and the plot meanders through trivial side events like a family road trip (where Eddie reflects on his life), sneaking into Area 51, an awkward dance with 'sexy' Miss Chen, and even Venom exploring the temptations of Las Vegas gambling, among others to fill in the space. And the main threat is so bland and uninspired that it almost feels insulting. Also very frustrating, is how Tom Hardy's character often seems to just stand around, doing little to drive the action. This lack of movement becomes grating, especially since he's also shown doing a lot of fast-paced and involved scenes. It's as if two studios filmed parts of the movie separately and then patched them together, resulting in a jarring inconsistency.. or they ran out of budget at some point. Oh, and an unintentionally comedic, romance-montage flashback scene between Eddie and Venom, complete with sappy music that feels so forced and out of place, it had me laughing out loud!

Amidst it all, little Dash McCloud impressed and completely overshadowed everyone else with just two seconds of acting of heartfelt and believable anguish! That was the most memorable part of the movie... which is somewhat sad. But at least isn't as awful as the Carnage entry in the trilogy..

My God it sucked.

Bad Acting and bad VFX. It's like somebody just wanted to squeeze any little drop of money that could still be squeezed from this franchise. The storyline felt like an afterthought, with plot points that barely held together and characters lacking any real depth or motivation. The chemistry that once made Eddie and Venom's dynamic engaging now feels forced, as if even the actors were tired of the script they were given.

The VFX, once a highlight of the Venom films, looked surprisingly cheap, detracting from scenes that should have been intense and visually stunning. Action sequences felt repetitive, lacking the innovation needed to make a final installment stand out. Overall, the film feels like a disappointing attempt to cash in on a franchise that once showed promise but now seems to have overstayed its welcome.

Watching it is like watching a car crash, where you don't care if anyone gets hurt.

In a trilogy where every single film has been poor, the expectations weren't high going in. But even with this taken into consideration, the last of the three is flat on all counts.

Crud CGI, stupid plot, poor script and Tom Hardy demonstrating why he is ridiculously overrated. If you don't think he's overrated, and even with script withstanding, watch this film and then watch RDJ or Chris Evans in their respective roles and be honest with yourself.

Some of the artistic decisions around Hardys character and acting are strange (for instance why does he walk like he's dropped a log in his boxers throughout the entire movie), but when you are so limited you can neither play drunk or sober in a film, the best bet is to dial it down a notch, which of course Hardy can't do in anything he does.

The best bit about the film is the ending and by this I mean when it ended.

The weakest of the series.

Venom deserved a better send-off and the other symbiotes deserved more screen time. The plot is contrived ridiculousness which was hard to take seriously and the film tried to fit too much in, bringing in lots of new characters and ideas but never using them. Combined with rehashed scenes and the almost pointless inclusion of characters from earlier films, it ends up being tonally inconsistent, jumping frequently from silly to serious to daft to drama. The whole production felt cringey with awkward dialogue, it lacked the humour of the earlier films, instead going for a more heartfelt approach which was weak and shallow, and some of the action scenes looked awful. The creature special effects were great, but their seeming invulnerability made little sense and the human 'villains' were badly portrayed.

Modern movies are the worst.

"Venom: The Last Dance" isn't just a mess; it's an insult-a 90-minute dumpster fire that dares you to care while actively spitting in your face. For a franchise with so much potential, so much rich character history, to be treated with this level of neglect is almost impressive in its audacity. Written and directed by Kelly Marcel, and somehow still starring Tom Hardy, this latest misfire feels less like a movie and more like a last-minute cash grab from people who clearly couldn't care less if anything in it made sense.

The "plot" is a joke. A fever dream strung together with zero regard for logic or continuity, it limps from scene to scene as if Marcel wrote it with one hand on a randomizer. Character development? Nowhere. Consistent motives? Laughable. Each line sounds like it was pulled from the depths of a bad fan fiction-and Hardy himself seems ready to tap out, giving a performance so hollow and bizarre that it feels like he's already thinking about his next project. Eddie and Venom's once-enjoyable dynamic is reduced to obnoxious bickering and one-liners that sound ripped from a middle school improv class.

If you're hoping for action, well, technically it's there-scattered, half-baked sequences that seem to have been cobbled together from CGI leftovers. It's all flash with no rhythm, no sense of pacing, and certainly no stakes. You won't care about anything happening on the screen because neither the writers, actors, nor director even pretended to care while making it. Watching this feels like witnessing a CGI hurricane, where the only casualty is your ability to follow what's going on.

Bottom line: Venom: The Last Dance doesn't ask you to turn off your brain. It demands you throw it out the window, stomp on it, and set it on fire, just like the creative team did with any shred of lore, character, or narrative. This isn't just mindless; it's soulless.

Venom: The Last Dance

Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) has been accused of murder and wants to go to New York to clear his name. The cops and the US army led by Rex Strickland (Chiwetel Ejiofor) are searching for him via facial recognition technology.

Right behind Eddie and symbiote Venom is evil Knull. The slicer of worlds who has unleashed his foot soldiers, the Xenophages. They are after the codex which Knull believes that Eddie is carrying.

Venom: The Last Dance is noisy empty film. It never shows much promise and the storyline is mediocre.

The only plus point is the CGI special effects but even then there is a lot there that is derivative.

As this is a Sony MCU spin off. What was Rhys Ifans doing here playing UFO searching hippy? He was the villain in an earlier Spidey film.

This Movie was Made to Make Trailers Out of

I have a love-hate relationship with Venom 1 and 2. Venom 1 is good for what it is, a superhero origin story that doubles as a buddy cop drama. The second one is even more insane, with a brilliant fan casting of Woody Harrelson. It jumps the shark in a lot of places and while the landing isn't always pretty, it's at least enjoyable.

Venom 3 is almost 2 hours of Venom and Brock running away from danger, while others characters fight it. There are no twists, there is no interesting character growth. No interesting character dynamics. The movie starts with an unrelated action scene, continues with more scenes of Venom and Brock running away, and ends with a long action sequence of other characters fighting, while our two protagonists just watch or run away.

The plot just sort of trudges along from one scene and ___location to another. If you cut any part of the movie out, except for the ending, literally nothing will change. Things just happen and they happen for no other reason than just to be put in the trailers to sell the movie. In fact, everything you see in the trailers is literally all you get from the movie. There's no hidden fun scene or sequence.

Venom 3 is an unsatisfying end to a pretty fun character. The first 2 films weren't masterpieces, but they were at least fun and the dynamic between Venom and Eddie always sold it for me. But they have the least interactions in this film. It's more of a "Venom and Friends" movie than anything else really.

Pointless character arcs, disappointing payoffs for previous characters, uninteresting villains, and little to no emotional attachment to anything that happens in the story makes this movie an incredible disappointment.

Also, I was going to give it a 4, but I lowered the score because there was no Eminem song.

Please, stop it

Finally, they finished it. Or did they? I hope they did. Because it was so unbearable to watch.

Tom Hardy is an awesome actor, and Venom is an awesome character. How on earth, having all that, could they make such a piece of crap? Three times in a row!

I hoped at least the final movie wouldn't be bad. But it was terrible, just like the previous ones. Dumb, boring, and not funny. Can you believe it? Venom and not funny! I thought it was impossible... But this the least what the producers could make of it. Make Venom not funny.

Please, don't make any sequels. I'm tired of being disappointed every time.

If You Have the Capacity to Ask Why Don't Watch

I watched this movie out of pure curiosity and good thing I am not a cat. So I am doing what I wish others would have done and given the actual curious viewer a warning not to waste their time. I can't believe the average audience rating is a 6. Chaotically bad for no reason. The jokes fell flat and the characters were flatter. The minions of the big bad villain are indestructible until for an unexplained reason they are at the end. Even if you buy the ultimate conclusion you can't buy the minions dying the way they portrayed at then. To give you a clue as to how indestructible they are imagine T2000 from Terminator 2 just shutting down from frustration WITH the full support US Military trying to kill just ONE of the minions. This was just a pure money grab and way too typical of big budget Hollywood productions to merit the waste of your time.

That being said the actors did the best with the mess of a story they were working with. Because it could have been much worse if they weren't good. With the script they started off with a negative 2.

Trick me once shame on you. Trick me twice shame on me. But three times is already an offense

The first Venom was painfully mediocre-weak, but saved by an intriguing concept and some slickly choreographed scenes.

The sequel? Basically DLC for the original.

But The Last Dance? This is where Sony's villain-verse officially jumps the shark. Not content with recycling the same mediocre formula a third time, they've now cranked out the laziest, most half-baked entry yet in this Spider-Man-adjacent dumpster fire.

...Or so I thought, until I suffered through Kraven the Hunter.

Let's be clear: Venom 3 is a bad movie. Not objectively unwatchable, but as the third installment? For me, that's enough to brand it as an insult. By now, this franchise should know better than to treat its audience like brain-dead symbiote hosts.

I wanted to like it more. Had this been my first taste of Venom, I might've hated it less. But at this point? It's not just bad-it's an unforgivably lazy sequel.

Kelly Marcel should never be allowed to produce anything ever again.

Waste of time, money and IP.

Butchered the essence of Venom with every iteration to the point where this last part of the Trilogie should have been abandoned before it was even a thought on Kelly's mind. Whoever thought this was a good idea to green light should be fired alongside anyone who agreed with them.

Thank you for destroying one of the best Marvel IP and characters Sony had left.

Sony, If you're after money, Give it to Disney. It's best for everybody. This, this hot mess right here, is not it.

Marcel should never be allowed around a movie theatre after this. Along with anyone who rated this anything above a 5.

"Too Much Alien Fights, Not Enough Substance"

Boring, boring and boring... I found The Last Dance, Venom, The Last Dance incredibly boring and a complete waste of time. The movie was so exaggerated and unrealistic that it was hard to take seriously. There was barely any meaningful interaction between humans and aliens; instead, it was just aliens fighting aliens non-stop. This lack of connection made the film feel hollow and repetitive. While the acting was decent, it couldn't save the weak storyline or make up for the excessive bathroom breaks I took to escape the monotony. The subplot with the family and their VW SUV added nothing to the overall experience and felt forced. Honestly, nothing memorable happened, and the pacing dragged endlessly. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone-it desperately needed more human elements to make it remotely interesting. Skip this one if you value your time.

Adjust expectations based on the previous movies in this series and you'll be OK

This movie rounds up the Venom trilogy and it is just a continuation of the same mediocre and often, subpar comedy that borders on the ridicule or makes you turn your head on the side wondering what the heck just happened. Most of the character development is based off a low-IQ and supposedly funny take on this guy who is an unwilling but somehow victimized vessel for an alien. It can be hard to connect with the main character as it is not entirely clear what is the goal... so, we are supposed to sympathize with him... as well as, find it funny when he falls onto his face or gets thrown around and used by the alien who inhabits him?

Anyway, this movie has some interesting special effects, like the two previous movies in this series. Nothing spectacular or worth getting a poster of to put up in your room. This is yet another forgettable movie and perfect for when you are eating with the family and let it play in the background. Or to keep your kids entertained in the house, so you can have a conversation with the other adults. The plot was very basic and never rose up to its potential.

There are many fans of Venom and after the first movie, they should have taken a long break and rethought this completely and delivered a new take on this universe. It could have been a lot better than churning out the same rehashed formula that does not require more than 4 brain cells to tag along on this ride with a guy and his alien frienemy (friend and enemy).

Meh

Boring It started good in the beginning showing Eddie and venom but as soon as the other characters started taking their turn were boring as hell for real at some point i was watching but not watching, at the final act of the film i was rooting for the enemy to kill most of the characters except Eddie and the ufo family.

The music wasn't bad The cgi were a little bit bad but not the worst The pacing was ok Too many characters that nobody could give a cr@p especially in the military base, you jave these scientists that they don't even convince you that they are scientists rather than just some random people with a lab robe Anyway 3 stars 1 star for Tom hardy 1 star for venom 1 star for the ufo family.

Interesting venom

I expected to watch a fun venom with a fun Tom hardy and I pretty much received what I asked for .

Acting was cool , I like Eddie and the rest were also cool and fun .

Action scene was good , especiall The final part .

Cinematography was also good like sound and the rest .

There were some fun scene like venom Horse and airplane ,the dance in Paris hotel vegas was also fun.

To be honest it was entertaining and fun.it didn't get too dark and didn't want to give us big speeches with fake tears , it kept itself as a superhero movie in a medium level of just entertainment and it's acceptable. I'm gonna miss Tom Hardy as Eddie.

I can't believe this

This movie made me groan in pain. The writing corny as anything???? I went into this movie hoping my faith in Marvel would be restored, but alas it was not. I am disappointed. Tom Hardy is the only reviving factor, I love him and venom. So many pointless new characters (I understand that it's supposed to be setup for a new movie but don't make it that obvious). As a literal child with zero acting and directing experience, I know for a fact I could cut this movie better and create something that's worthy of these amazing actors. It was almost boringly horrible at times, with corny lines taken right from cheap science fiction movies. I don't know how these actors did it with a straight face.

One dance too much.

A totally waste of time. An overweight Tom Hardy valse through this film without a glimpse of enjoyment in his eyes. He says time after time that he has an enormous hangover but that doesn't excuse his poor performance. Zombie like. Depressing. And the storyline doesn't make any sense. Thinner than Deadpoles multilayer of timelines. And that was impossible to understand. The research doctors in the compound while trying to include a one dollar sob Freud to one of them just fall flat because it doesn't really have any meaning and the military agenda is just plain dumb. The WW couple are supposed to be a comic relief but is just sad. Summa summarum. Like Deadpole and Penguin this is a film that want to cash in on the comics series but have lost all energy in the process and end up as stone cold films with no heart and no panache. Sad.

Wait what

Venom: The Last Dance was probably the worst film I've seen in 2024, I doubt that in what's left or 2024 I'll be able to see something worse.

Even if you take it as a basic comic book film, it is still a barely coherent mess of scenes. It has everything, cringy exposition, nonsensical situations, expository dubbing, bad editing and hilariously uninspired and laughable acting. Like, I didn't even know these actors can be this bad. How do you even direct Chiwetel Ejiofor to act like this. This is insane.

They at least did a great job making sure I understood what was happening, but in a wrong way. I still had no idea who half of the characters were cause I'm unfamiliar with the source material, but the script was so predictable this barely affected my viewing.

Venom: TLD consists of around 20 minutes of moderately entertaining but not spectacular action scenes, and around an hour of stretched walking scenes with occasional dialogue that almost feels like it matters, but ultimately serves as a justification for super basic setup-payoff plots of zero importance. A couple of times their attempts at sparking viewers' emotions and interest almost succeeded, but in the long run these only hurt the film, showing that it doesn't know that it wants to be.
