Die Schlümpfe: Der große Kinofilm

Such a cute movie with a great script, loved it! Remember being a kid watching the Smurfs series on TV and I love them as much as I did then... Rihanna was amazing as Smurfette. Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Great for children and adults alike 👏. Loved the Gargamel interactions and story so much, clever and inventive, it was a joy to watch thus amazing script come to life. Lovely animation and lots of funny bits, just adorable, thanks to all who made this film possible, wasn't too long or too short, just perfect way to enjoy an afternoon. Go see it if you love the Smurfs!!! I sure enjoyed the ride.

Once again from Viacom and Nickelodeon movies - the animation is fantastic with great new character designs that stay faithful to Peyo's comic series of the same name and does a great job bringing them alive in 3D form, but the hard work from the animators is once again wasted, because all of previous works by the same studio suffer the same problems like the story, characters, dialogue and especially the music (being very bland and forgettable and putting very famous songs has become a tradition for Viacom) and all of the weak aspects combined together makes Smurfs (2025) look very beautiful, but unfortunately it feels very mediocre at best and yet at the same time i still consider it an improvement over the awful live-action/animated hybrid Smurfs movies because of Sony.

So... i just got done watching the Paramount own Smurf movie "THE SMURFS" i had to go watch it early when the Australia release on July 5th and i watched it... you know it's was a bit eh in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong the character were good, i did got laugh from a few jokes and the animation was decent enough... but sadly this movie wasn't good and not as bad but it eh..., i guess it was in development back in 2022 and after 3 years they made it, but however the director was fine, but when i saw Pam Brady writing i was like: "wait Pam Brady making a kids film?"

Overall mediocre film..... (5/10 eh)

I can't say I liked the visuals very much, but the pace of the film is quite good. Rihanna and the music were quite good, and it actually has a creative story. It's understandable that there are high expectations for the adaptation of such a masterpiece cartoon, but these movies are for children, and what children expect is to have fun and have a good time. Please don't expect a movie like Interstellar for children aged 5-6. So watch it without taking the low reviews too seriously. Still, I prefer the more adult versions of these kinds of movies. For example, movies like Tangled are both fun for kids and entertaining for adults. Anyway, enjoy watching.

Smurfs 2025 wow what horrible garbage mess of a movie. It's like the franchise automatically knew you've been a smurfs fan forever and there's no need to have a story or decent plot so if your not the whole lore they have created makes no sense and falls really flat. I'm not a huge smurfs fan and my son wanted to see it and even he torwards the end became very uninterested and the music was bad Nd didn't add much to the story. The animation was ok and I get they were trying to be different but sometimes being too different is a curse and it just didn't work, the characters were 1 dimensional, and again i get it's a kids movie but what happened to movies that were made for both parents and kids. I think this may be just a cash grab, and maybe good press for Rhianna. Not only was it unnecessary it was super bad to watch too.
