Bride Hard

I LOVED this movie. Mind you, I went into this movie theatre with the expectations I would zone out and when I zoned back in, I wouldn't really like the movie. But that is NOT what happened. I sat there, engaged and laughing as much as ever. Maybe it's because Im a woman, or maybe... because it's a silly movie? Just because you have an "amazing" sense of humor, does not mean things aren't funny because they don't match that.

They had funny and niche jokes. It's the same thing as EVERY Tom cruise movie, the only difference is that one movie is funny and excited to watch, and the other has Tom cruise.

The soundtrack, might I add, was FANTASTIC. As soon as I left that movie theatre, I was searching for the soundtrack to this movie. I couldn't find it. 😡 I was so close to buying the movie, I actually am probably going to do that. AND THIS IS ALL FOR THE SOUNDTRACK.

To show you I am being fair, I won't give it a 10 because obviously there was lack of things. But I cannot compare a shark and a pencil and expect the pencil to start swimming. Same way I cannot compare a musical to this and be confused on why no one's singing in this one or why no one is a green witch. The point of this movie is for it to be funny. It did its job, I laughed, I heard the people in this movie theatre laughing too. So I'm not going to expect it to make me feel the most heartbreak I've ever felt because it's not for that.

I also do think that a lot of men, even women too, come into these movies with this sort of hatred at the idea of women being funny. Because as soon as you think "they're trying too hard to be funny " before you've even heard them talking on the screen, news flash, you're not going to think it's funny. You're going to critique and criticize it, then complain afterwards that women aren't funny.

That's it. I think a.i. Wrote this. This movie can be used at negotiating tables to prove to exects why they need to pay humans to make movies.

No one in real life talks or acts like anyone in this movie. None of the jokes land. The action was pointless. And the final scene made less sense than the title.

The most unfortunate thing is that a lot of the actors are genuinely funny and talented, and they tried REALLY hard to make this even a little entertaining. I think I chuckled once at something that was not supposed to be funny.

I hope all the best for everyone involved honestly cuz this was a waste.

A wedding day nobody expected, were mercenaries takes everybody hostage, and want something in a vault, and there only hope is a bridesmaid who's a secret agent.

Some action scenes are amusing, but not great. Rebel Wilson was alright in some scenes, when I felt she wasn't winking at the audience. Anna Camp acts like she drank too much coffee, to the point where she is way too animated to care about her as a character. Anna Chlumsky (My Girl) does steal some scenes. Justin Hartley is poorly wasted here. Now Stephen Dorf has the main bad guy, is watchable because he's quite straight forward, and pulls no punches, feeling like he's in a different movie all together.

This is EASILY top three worst movies of all time, at least the ones I've seen. The acting from everyone is absolutely horrendous and continues to deteriorate as the movie progresses. It baffles me how not even the monologues are delivered well. How do you mess up a monologue in an action movie? And the jokes. Ill timed, written horribly or just simply delivered horribly. The plot of the movie is also just inexplicably bad. Action sequences are not that entertaining and some of the sequences make no sense logically. I wanted to walk out of the theater so many times but I paid for a ticket so I stayed. If this movie was free on streaming right now, I wouldn't even bother watching it. So all in all, I do not recommend watching this movie, ever.

This is a mindless comedy that isn't exceptionally funny. The acting is poor, the plot is poor, the jokes are contrived and totally expected. There are no surprises in this movie. The editing and continuity was done by an amateurs as I pointed out in Goofs. If you are a Rebel Wilson fan (which I am), you'll probably see the movie and then wish you'd waited for it to stream. Even then, it will prove to be a waste of 1 hour 45 minutes of your life. Rebel Wilson't stunt double was pretty good, but the director had to make these stunt sequences at a distance or with the face away from the camera. Definitely a low budget film with low budget crew.
