I would rather be punched than have to sit through this again. The sound guy for this must have lied in his resume or maybe it was just something that went wrong. Whatever the cause the sound was muffled and it made it difficult for me to make out most of the dialogue. The ___location and the ___location shots were good. The lead actress seemed capable the actress that played the mother was chewing through the scenery ( a bit over the top ) . We have seen this story before and done better. If only the sound was better but it wasn't. Less than 90 minutes but felt like 2:30 . The one thing I liked was the ending . The ending was a nice twist but not enough to redeem the film.
The movie is not meant to be taken too seriously so lighten up people giving it a low rating!
This is a fun and dark film that will have you asking yourself "What would I do?" Though the dark subject matter may be too dark for some I enjoyed it. There were a few jump scares and watching our main character slowly lose touch with reality was , dare I say, fun. If I were to compare this with "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" I would have to honestly say "Digging for Death" is more fun and less predictable. This movie doesn't try to teach us any lessons because no one wants to sit through a movie that is nothing but a propaganda piece for DEI ( that's what Disney and the major studios are for). If you have a dark sense of humor ( for example, if you laughed while Ray Liotta was eating his own brain in "Hannibal") you might appreciate this indie gem.
