This is not a long winded series review.

Season One was exciting to have Jean Luc Picard back. I was intrigued each week to see how this was going to unfold. Was it a continuation of STNG or a new beginning? It was not STNG. It was a standalone story of the former captain of the famous starship Enterprise. It was interesting.

Season Two....well, I would recommend avoiding it all together.

Season Three...WOW!! Everything about this season was excellent. The writing. The acting. The SFX. The new characters. The old familiar faces from STNG. It was exciting to watch old TV friends reunited and do what they do best.

Daniel Kaluuya was wasted with poor skit writing. Many of the skits seemed rehashed from earlier this season. Another Britney Spear skit when it's not funny.

The Weekend Update is normally good but "guy with a boat" and "old lady with younger guy" were so painful.

It's definitely time for major cast shake up.

I saw the trailer for The Unicorn this summer and I thought I would give it a try. I liked the concept of show about a widower who is looking for a relationship and his friends have labeled him as an unicorn because he's perfect and single women will fall over him. Walter Goggins (Wade) is very likable in this role but the friends are annoying (especially Rob Corddry). The friends are trying to guide Wade's way through the dating process because they feel he needs to get back in the game. They feel that it's their job to find love for Wade. The writers could scale back on the inferring friends. The best part of each episode has been Wade's relationship with his 2 young daughters. That's when the show truly shines.
