I used to love this series, but the last two seasons have been deeply disappointing, and this episode unfortunately continues that downward trend. Crossover episodes feel like lazy "greatest hits" compilations that rely on tired clichés instead of offering genuinely fresh content. The cinematography was particularly jarring-excessive shaky cam and artificial camera movements in the opening minutes were genuinely headache-inducing. It's frustrating to see a show I once enjoyed lose its creative spark and resort to these kinds of cheap gimmicks. The writing feels increasingly stale and uninspired.
This episode feels to Rick and Morty what Fonzie jumping the shark was to Happy Days-a turning point that signals a departure from what made the show great. The characterizations seem off, as if the writers haven't fully immersed themselves in previous seasons of Rick and Morty. The plot feels forced and implausible from the very beginning, relying on tired clichés rather than offering something fresh and meaningful.
In my experience, not every talented individual necessarily makes for the best collaborator, and I believe this is reflected in the current creative direction. Those who understand, will understand.

"The scientists who didn't make the bomb were free even if they lived in non-free countries and those scientists who lived in a free country were not free not to make it." Sciascia said this phrase many years ago. The movie is a very boring movie, like other films nominated this year. The great cinema in a mirage these years. I suppose it's a production problem, the pay what they get and want. Music, special effects and acting was good but I found the story to be an American banality. Perhaps in the USA they feel that they are no longer the greatest country in the world and want to feel that feeling again by living in a glorious past.
