It's like watching the old nerd herders selling premium tech at bargain prices !
But le gasp ! There is corporate down sizing and so people must go !
This is the set up for ' one last job ' a hiest movie wrapped up in 40 mins.
Acting feels on point, classic hiest twists and turns, but with minimal filler.
The plot borrows from other genres which have previously been used together but with mixed success, in this episode they feel natural if very convenient for charlie to be involved wither crime of the week.
It's not the worst episode or the best kind of a middle ground, it's not particularly funny, tries to go for heartwarming and then quickly pulls at the heart strings.
Felt like it was a bit forced and took liberties with charlies character that clash with her season arc of freedom of choice and no threats (well unless you count last weeks stephanie's possible return in a future season).

I can´t believe the rating this episode has, this is one of the best episodes of the season, easy. It is a homage in the best possible way to most of heist movies, and those from rom-com too. The story its written in such way that it combine a lots of movies such as, "Mission impossible", "Heist", "Notthing Hill", but in a really dorky and funny way. It gives a story already know but so well told, that it feels fresh and makes those little references and tropes to other movies like a reward to the viewer. The ending its just the cherry on the top, and to any fan of "Heist" its just gonna blow you away and left you with a grin on your face. This show overflows cinema in every single frame, scene and sound from it, its amazing and I love it for that. Please make the show last, we need more series like this. The world needs it.
Loved the first season! Season 2 is becoming difficult to continue watching. This being the worst episode so far. (The previous was very good.) Another like this and I'm out. Charlie used to be amusing, but has become insufferable. I find myself rooting for the criminals most of the time now. She's no longer funny; she self-righteously butts into situations for reasons that only make sense to her. The writing on this episode started out promising, but quickly went downhill into boring, predictable schlock. Sad to see what was once a great show failing so hard. The excellent set designers deserve a better show.
This episode and the previous one in the school are my two favorites. This one kept me watching for every movie reference and how people can be misled from their true calling.
Although predictable, it did not make it any less fun. The actors were wonderful, but I also appreciate the structure that the writers gave them. It's so interesting to see what "slices of life" Charlie gets involved with and how her power affects those around her. To see her interact with someone who was consistently honest was refreshing. Can't wait to see where her journey takes her next! So many possibilities for her.

"Poker Face" is an excellent and enjoyable show...I'm not denying this. And, "One Last Job" is not a bad episode. However, it did feel a bit weak when I got to the end of the story...it just seemed less interesting and the ending didn't quite work for me...mostly because part of it just made very little sense. I don't want to say much more, it might spoil the twist.
The story is set at a Walmart-type store. After getting fired, an employee meets a guy and soon they are talking about robbing the store. And, since he'd worked there, he knew the safe would be stuffed with money and they could do the job and get out quickly. Naturally things don't work out like they planned and it's up to Charlie to make sure they don't escape justice.
Up until the end, this was a pretty good episode. For once, Charlie finds love...a plus. On the other hand, you know in the opening scene the guy is gonna die. Plus the ending...well...see the ending and you'll see what I mean. One of the killer's fates just seems impossible.
