So admittedly I went in to this series with minimal expectations since it's difficult to find a decent horror movie or series anymore and I am frequently regretting having wasted my time. But I've been pleasantly surprised with Hell Motel. The characters are interesting with their own backgrounds that range from fandom to mental illness. There is some pretty violent scenes/kills and I've been very impressed with the actors. Hoping it finishes strong. My only critique is that I was hoping for a deeper dive on the character's histories. They do have flashbacks but they are not too in depth. But there isn't a clear guess for the killer or killers. And depending on how it plays out, I might rewatch it to see if it lines up. But I'd recommend giving it a whirl, it moves pretty steady so you won't tune out or wind up on your phone. Only a few more episodes to go!

.. and oh so fun (!!) and yes I am that old to remember movies like Night of the Demons starring Linnea Quigley. This is obviously a little more polished and bigger budgeted than your typical 80s slasher fare but not by much (thankfully). The most intriguing aspect is the set up with all these literal psychos running around and trying to figure out what the f is really going on here ?! I love all the characters and in fact became very disappointed when some became decedents too early in my opinion. I'm watching this on my AMC+/ Shudder bundle and we're only on episode three and I can't stop watching. Looking forward to episode four which drops next Tuesday. I also see that this is done by the same team that created Slasher which I really didn't get into because at the time I was going through my torture porn/found footage phase but I may just revisit after I get through this. Please don't look for anything realistic or sometimes that even makes sense but for me so far, there hasn't been a dull moment.
So far I like this season better than the Ripper season. It is an interesting premise and I love the backdrop and setting. The characters are interesting and the acting is decent as are the kills. I am engaged so far and look forward to seeing future episodes. It's too bad they are not dropped all at once as I would definitely would binge this. I'm not sure if this is Slasher season 6 or a separate Anthology but I would actually like to see both. I hope they do have a season 6 separately. I like also that they have the same or many of the same actors for recurring seasons. It is almost like American Horror Story in that regards. So far I've been very pleased with the series.
I tried to watch this, because it sounded like an interesting enough premise. But, as is so often the case in horror, even a solid premise cannot compensate for poor execution.
I was able to overlook the dodgy opening scenes, with the jarring time-jump filled with random characters in medias res with a burning RV.
But then an otherwise perfectly legit-seeming hobby-Satanist started to consistently pronounce "Baphomet" as "Baphomé", like its a fine Bordeaux that pairs well unbaptized baby meat or a brand of infernal bath beads, I decided that if the series creators cared that little about the content of their show then I cared even less.

The man with long hair and beard who was interrogated by the police, was the husband of a woman who was killed in the motel 30 years ago. She left her husband to go on honey moon with her highschool love!! Now the old husband is back to take revenge !
It can be either the chef or the professor .
If you are interested in crime mysteries, I highly recommend you to watch this.
Let me know what are your guesses about the killer. I could make a guess based on episode 3. If you like it, I also recommend you to watch " nine bodies in a Mexican morgue" which has almost the same plot and story line.
