I've been reading through different reviews of the show and many have liked it and many have not. I, myself, enjoyed it thoroughly.

I thought it was clever they portrayed Porter watching his own life, and as a musical. I feel that Kevin Kline is such a diverse actor and is incredible, and he did not let me down in this movie at all. Ashley Judd, who played Linda Porter, was excellent as well. You really sympathized with her character, but had an understanding of why Porter lived the way he did. Overall, I thought the story was well done and gave a good description of Porter's life.

The highlight of the movie is Porter's music. Throughout the show they tie in many of Porter's hits and hearing song after song, it reminds you how brilliant Porter's work is, and how everlasting it will be. Out of the all performer's I believe Robbie Williams out shown them all with his rendition of `De-Lovely.' He's not very well known in The States, and I as I sat there in the audience I thought, most people here have no idea they are watching one of the richest and one of the most talented singer's out there. Natalie Cole's rendition of "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye" brought tears to my eyes...fantastic.

There is not must spectacle to the show and it simply is an autobiography, but one that is definitely worth a gander!

Let me start off by saying that I do believe the movie dragged a bit, but the funny parts completely made the movie worthwhile. Starsky and Hutch is like Old School, meets Zoolander, meets Dragnet. The best part of the movie is the cameo of The Dan Band at the Bat Mitzvah. If you don't know who they are, they were the insanely funny and vulgar wedding band from Old School. The song they chose to sing is totally inappropriate for a Bat Mitzvah and the singer alters the lyrics to tie it in to the party. Then it flashes to Vaughn listening to the band and completely rocking out-one of the funniest scenes I have ever seen in a movie. Owen and Ben play off eachother quite well and Vince Vaughn plays an excellent drug dealer, however, the role did not allow Vaughn to shine. To me, it's not the lines that made the movie, but more the movies sublties such as characters actions, and facial expressions. Will Ferrell, who makes a cameo as prison inmate, is kind of disturbing, but it added so much to his character. I would definitely recommend seeing it.

It's been seven years since the films release and I just barely saw it. The cinematography used in this film made it ng. I think the strongest character was Steve, played by Matthew Broderick. I know most of us can't get over him being Ferris Bueller, but he is an incredible actor on stage and screen. This is a typical Jim Carrey film, he was hilarious and I think he fit the part perfectly. However, it was too much. Instead of laughing at all the dumb things Skip (Carrey) does to win Steve's friendship, I found myself getting frustrated. Too many dumb situations, and overall the movie is very predictable.
