A story about neurotic, horny people mostly discussing their difficult and neurotic relationships for eight long episodes.
And yes, there were some murders and some kind of conspiracy plot, but for most of the time nobody seem to be very interested in solving them, they just are so busy being neurotic and horny, that they could not care less about the murder mystery. Actually, it is not much of a mystery, as the ending is quite predictable. Without all that extra cr*p the whole thing would easily have been solved in one hour.
They usually make very good mini series in Britain, but this one is not one of them...

Just watched this again celebrating Tom's 60th. This, even 30 years later, is a really good movie. OK, it is based on Grisham's book, which probably sold a lot of copies at the time. But, if the book was good, you could make it into a good script, and with good actors, the result would be a good movie.
This was made 30 years ago when you did not have the nowadays compusory shootouts and that idiotic fistfights (you know: first the good guy gets beaten almost to a pulp, but then he somewhat finds strength to beat the bad guy, or even better, kill him) this is now mandatory in Hollywood, if you want to get a good rating... Stuoid...

And the award to a person in a supporting ... No, a person who really is not part of this... But he is the main character? No he is not... This series is supposed to be about someone who sometimes was the in a leading role but nowadays hardly participates at all. Martin Beck has left the building..........
