I love this movie very very much. This is reminiscent of old American cartoons such as Tom and Jerry or Droopy Dog. The story is about a snowman who lives inside a snowdome. There is a party next to the snowdome, and a blonde gal invites the snowman to join. The snowman tries to get out of the snowdome in a lot of ways. By an igloo, a drill, a jackhammer, and finally he uses TNT. He fails and falls with the snowdome. He can get out from an exit and falls into a goldfish bowl. The gal swims in the bowl. He is glad to see that, but unexpected things happen. So as I mentioned above, I love this work. I've always liked funny works without dialogs like Tom and Jerry or Minions. Because even without words, the clips alone can make everyone laugh. This movie is one of that kind. Moreover, I thought that the way in which the scale gradually increases, but continues to fail, and the protagonist is blown away by the final failure, was also a characteristic of this type of work. An igloo, a drill, a jackhammer, and TNT is that in this film. The snowman's expression is hard to recognize, but his actions make the audience laugh.

He does everything he can to get out of the snow globe. Punches, hammers, drills, bombs, etc. When the snowman tries to go out using a bomb, the snow globe falls under the desk. At that time, the snowman can find the exit of the snow globe and go outside, but it falls into the bowl of goldfish. A snowman finds a new mermaid toy in that place. The last scene is very humorous and charming. I am sure that you will want to cheer on the snowman as he tries his best. There is no dialogue, but the music is very rhythmic and the images are rich in color, so I think even small children who cannot understand the story can enjoy watching it. However, this film is worth seeing even for adults because it is a humorous story that will make anyone chuckle at least once. In addition, I think you will enjoy the story more if you look at it from the snowman's point of view.

It surprised me how fast animation technologies get developed because of its rough character making in Knick-Knack when comparing with those in Toy Story. It, however, does not affect my impression that the snowman, funny lead character, and the storyline changed, again and again, are fascinating and exciting. The construction of story is explained as 3-act structure, and repeated attempts to escape from a tiny and fragile (but it is only for the audiences!) snow dorm keep us amused throughout the film, starting from igloo attack. The larger or stronger equipment he brings as the means to break the wall of glass, the more heavily he is shaken both physically and mentally. We, audiences, are carefully watching his hard struggles with nervous heart, but at the same time, I cannot stop laughing by his failures in a little world. At the moment he is exposed to the largest crisis, however, I am really thrilled and even scared, thinking in mind that he might be broken into pieces on the floor. Luckily such an expectation is betrayed, but there is one more complete reversal.

As an amateur standup comedian, I like the back ground music. This is about a snowman in a glass bowl who tries to get out of it to get to a sexy female-shaped toy. He tries everything; using a house-shaped board in the glass-bowl to break the glass, using dinamites, or even using his carrot nose as a nail to hammer. Basically he is always rushing and running around to find the solution for getting out of the glass bowl. but the music consists of slow base line and bright voice hamming and is entirely slow tempo. So there is a big difference of tension of the music and the snowman. This is called (if I apply this to the terminologies of standup comedy) incongruity. People think it is funny when something unexpected comes out from the usual context.

A single snowman is trapped inside a snow dome. With a doll waving him on, he attempts to break out his snow dome and enjoy the party. This is a great short film. There are two reasons why I feel so. First, this is an early film. It is from 1989 so it is a lot different than the animated films we see today. It is a very simple short with a simple story. Considering it is nearly 20 years old, it is actually very well done. It is also much more clever than many many animated short films from today. second, the composition of the story is interesting. This film contains many waves of feelings about the snowman. We can enjoy this film as not only children but also adults.

The characters are very cute in this film and the snowman's desire changing one after another is very interesting. In addition, the animations are ingenious. It seems struggling the snoman's struggle is really happening. The most ingenious things are the tools that the snowman uses for escape from the ornament. I think that the dynamite is very ingenious. In addition, I think that the film shows that we must be living in a given environment. Human is human and snowman is snowman. Everybody cannot escape from the environment that is decided by something. It is very fantastic film, but it is the movie that thought-provoking.

The story is about that a snow-globe snowman who finds the other travel souvenirs from warm countries in the room, which are having a party. Then, the pretty bikini girl in the group waves her hand toward the snowman, and he wants to join the travel souvenir. However, he cannot join their party so easily because the snow-globe snowman is inside the glass, and needs to get out. The way he tries to get out is really funny. I am sure that people, who may think that computer-animated films are a little immature and do not have a deep story, can enjoy this film. I would like to recommend this short film, especially, in terms of its brilliant idea and it's story.

The idea of using travel souvenir is really clever, because everyone has one or two travel souvenirs in their room, and is very familiar with them. It is very exciting just to think that your travel souvenirs might do the same thing during your absence! Secondly, the structure of the film is organised well. At a glance, you may think that this kind of film is not for adults. However, the film involves two main plot phases: complication and unravelling. This means that the main character realises that he has a problem and needs to solve it. In this short film, you can clearly that the snowman has desire to get out of the glass in order to satisfy his wants, but at the same time he encounters conflict. Considering all these facts, you will realise what you expect from a film and why there are films you can really enjoy or not! Watch it and you should check whether the snowman gets the bikini girl or not,

He tries to get out of the water tank, but the water tank is too hard to break. He makes efforts in many ways but it doesn't make sense. The woman is watching him and looks like fun. So the snowman finally tries to get out of the water tank in a certain way. How will the story go on? You will see if you watch the film. There is no dialogue in this movie but the comical moving of the characters make us understand the story. If you watch this film, it will make you have fun surely.

For example, the movement of everything in the water and the comical movement of characters were very realistic. In those days, this film must have been at the forefront of popular works. In fact, Pixar produces many movies used wonderful computer graphic technology such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo and so on. I think that you can enjoy this film even if you watch it many times.

I like the snowman very much because his character is so Nice and so delightful. I think he fell in love with a certain woman at first sight so he tried to go out of the snow globe. My favorite scene is the last scene. His wish was fulfilled but he has returned to his former state. I think he is not having a run out of good luck. This is one of the funny scenes.

I think this story's conclusion is amusing. This movie makes us fell like smiling, so I recommend you to watch this movie. We finish watching this movie we want to watch it once more.
