Avis à la une
I remember when 'Big Brother' first aired on the UK television (2000, I believe). It was new, fresh and unlike anything the viewing public had really seen before. It took the country by storm and the world followed, often being credited as revitalising the 'reality TV genre.' Now we come to 'Dirty Games' (made in 2022) - a British film about - effectively - a 'Big Brother-style' environment where a handful of good-looking youngsters are in a house together, being filmed 24/7 and under threat of being voted off my the public.
Unfortunately, the movie has many negatives and not many positives. For a start, the the most part it's nothing that different to what we've seen on real reality TV shows like 'Big Brother.' If you're looking for nudity and a film that indulges in 'soft core' activities, so to speak, then you may enjoy this. But I've seen more explicit scenes on reality TV and the 'mystery' as to why they're all really there doesn't really play much of a part in it until the end. You're effectively watching a film that is one long reality TV show!
Maybe, if it had a lot of twists and turns, it might be better. But then we come to the acting. I've watched a lot of B-movies and seen the odd 'wooden' performance here and there, but normally it's just one or two actors out of the bunch who stuck out. Here, it's like every last one of them is a second-rate part time drama student who's only just read the lines before they had to film them. Seriously, in true reality TV form, new 'contestants' arrive in the house and I kept thinking that each had to be a better actor than the last. They weren't. Although, none of them could compare to the 'host' whose American accent is truly one of the worst I've ever heard (I'm assuming she's really not an American native, but if I find out she is I truly don't know which part of the country she comes from!).
It's not outright terrible. If you're in the mood you'll probably watch until the end just to find out a few answers to various big questions, but, as I say, the best way to describe it is just like a regular reality TV show where everyone is unlikable and only trying to outdo the others in their quest for fame and fortune. If this had been made during 'Big Brother's' heyday it might have been a lot more novel, but I've seen films based on the genre and there's actually a fair few who did it better than this (TV's 'Dead Set' being the best, in my opinion).

... Baby, let's talk about you and me ... let's talk about all the good things ... ah well you either know the Salt & Peppa song or you are wondering what I am doing here ... no pun intended as always of course. This has nudity by the way (not sure what title this was released under in your country) ... but I doubt this should be the sole reason you want to watch this ... I mean a triple X version of this would make more "sense".
Of course this has some sort of social message ... which is kind of muddled between many "erotic" scenes (I leave it to you to decide how sizzling you think this is) ... there really is not much to look forward to here ... skip this if you value your time.

As a huge fan of the Big Brother Series, this film ticked all the boxes for me. Lots of eye candy, convos and twists. The games were a nice touch and the live viewing aspect of it added an interesting plot. I really got behind the main character, Lucy (Emily Eaton- Plowright) and wanted her to end up with James (Daniel Godfrey). She was a strong actress who held her own and made her own choices in the game. A highlight for me was when the camera paid attention to the men's bodies. Too often I think in film, the camera only pleases the male population, but this one catered for everyone. Plenty of twists along the way to keep the audience interested right to the end. It didn't disappoint. Loved the ending too...won't give that away.
I thought this was a satire of softcore porn but it went on for so long, it wasn't even funny anymore. The sex acts were unconvincing and the lust was cliched and manufactured. The production values were like the VCR porn shot in motel rooms.
I kept waiting for it to get better but one of the problems is, why would I care about any of the characters? They are just cardboard, cartoons of humans run by some middle-school level of smirking sexuality and the desire to get paid for it.
A cynical and lowbrow view of "love" that wastes precious moments of your life if you possibly have patience to see it to the end.

From the beginning we knew that we are about to watch a low acting skill movie it seems that if i get a bunch of high school actors they would have been better than that like I saw many porn stars with acting skills better than this the plot is very predictable that i knew the end in the first thirty minutes the title of the movie is "Dirty Games" or "Games of Love" but there is no games in there the only positive thing about this movie is the actors and actresses they really choose a bunch of good looking sexy ones, but still if you want to watch this movie go watch porn I bet it will be better.
