Wow, this series took me by surprise. Powerful, interesting, gripping, strong and beautifully filmed. And the acting is great too!
If the American procedurals are all starting to look the same to you, consider this a palate cleanser that resets your expectations.
The gripping narratives is a masterful production where every frame is told with a sense of authenticity.
From the pacing with precision to the evocative visual, the series is a masterclass in cinematic craftsmanship. And be aware that it's also very graphic and scary.
Don't miss it above all and also if you are a fan of crime and in this case, based on real events.

The story is very similar to that of the Civil Guards, the series "Burning body,"="El cuerpo en llamas", also Spanish and happened in the same year. I do recommend this series, by the way.
This film is undoubtedly of much lower quality and more boring simply because it didn't focus on the police search. It starts off well, but halfway through it turns into sex soap and very predictable.
The details of the murder are barely visible and aren't exciting at all. They could have heightened the suspense and the fear in that regard, but instead they focus solely on her, this manipulative witch with her idiot boyfriend. Very idiot!!
A shame, because this true story had potential.

A good Scottish series, but it's not going to stay in my mind, and as a big fan of crime mystery and detectives, I've seen much better ones!
Where the Danish film keeps it to a compact two hours, they stretches the story to almost nine hours. You can feel it, and that is my biggest issue.
Once the main characters are introduced the story meanders on for another five episodes. Only in the last three episodes does Dept. Q finally get going. A five part miniseries would have been a lot better and would have added to the tension!
Having say that I give it a solid 7! It's worth a watch! No doubt!
