I really enjoy watching this series (incredibly crap special effects aside).
The characters are engaging, flawed, show change and sometimes growth.
There's always a sense of some deeper story just off screen.
It is always engaging.
Its absolute propaganda. All these different security agencies working well together and sharing information is a fiction only suitable for a series with the concept of career criminal easily strolls in and out of federal custody.
We all hate the NSA, except for this particular case.
We all hate the TSA, but thankfully they provided information in this particular case.

I had a limited library of videos available to me, one of which was this film.
Watching it again over 30 years later, its... Okay
The cast: Anjelica Huston, Ron Pearlman, that alone would get me to watch.
The setting: swashbuckling in space. I'm here for it.
Execution: well, they tried.
It isn't horrible. The bad model work and sets are done with style and aplomb. There was care put into the set dressing, costume, and re-use of model shots. Creative editing made the bad models look Less bad.
The action scenes are.. not good, but have great editing to hide the fact
It is misogynistic, as was the style of the time, but the female characters have more to do than just be eye candy. They actually have active roles to play.
A stupid, fun comedy, with a slightly higher budget could be awesome.

This is a very good looking movie, with some great backgrounds and character design. A lot of time and money was spent making a very pretty piece of animation
There's a few times where the scenes play out really well, but herein lies the problem.
The timing is just a little bit off in the whole film. Whether it is the jokes just not landing, or the action scenes just being a little flat, everything just seems a bit off.
The movie suffers as a whole, and the poor timing just makes the whole experience a bit boring.

They've found some Australian actors at least.
Still like the show

Can't you cast some?
I'm into the new direction of the series, but bad accents take you out of the moment

With so many kids in the script, this was always going to be a difficult film to cast and shoot.
My goodness the kids were amazing. A competent to the point of being good script, a highly stylised colour pallate and cinematography, and a cast of well seasoned actors all helped, sure.
Making light of Emma Thompson's writing and acting, Angela Lansbury's acting chops is no small feat.
Great cast, well shot, all makes a very good film

Based on the successful book series published by Scholastic (with new titles still being published, mind you), this romp through historical mishaps, deaths, kings and queens, battles, language, and the inevitable fart and poo jokes.
Each episode jumps around between time periods and locations. Being a British show, Europe is the main focus, but the Ancient Incas, Egyptians, and Arab doctors don't escape the HH treatment.
Don't expect a hard hitting documentary, or even a loosely connected series of events. This is sketch comedy with a factual edge. It does its best to show accurate events, but mixes it in with some deliberate anachronistic elements.
Well acted, well written, just a lot of fun for kids of all ages - adults as well if you aren't too proud to admit it.
