S glad that I stuck with this series. The beginning was slow but it builds up to a crescendo of emotions. Each character is carefully developed by Stiller. Benicio Del Torro is one of my favourite actors and he didn't disappoint. One moment he's charming and the next he's pathetic. Paul Dano didn't disappoint either. He has a way of capturing your attention to see what his next emotion will be brought out.
This being a true story is what drove me to keep watching it. I've never known anyone who has been incarcerated . I don't know if I could survive the mundane day to day life. Having an escape plan would be foremost on my mind so it's no surprise that these two wanted out. The one thing that most criminals have in common is a rough start in life. I wonder how many lives turned out differently had they had a loving caring home life.

I loved the whole series ....I was so well cast. I was hooked from the first episode & binged the rest. Sophie Turner really shines as Joan. Very believable and made me root for her to get away with the crimes.
Frank Dillane as Boise is charming, charismatic. Lot's of nostalgia in this show. Loved the costumes, the settings, seeing London & Spain go back in time. The music was great of course. I hope Sophie Turner gets an award for her brilliant performance. I look forward to seeing her in series where her talent shines. I didn't want it to end so I decided to read up on Joan Hannington and her real life. Definitely worth the watch. If you love true stories this one is for you. Enjoy.

I was really hoping to like The Last Thing He Told Me....even after reading the lousy reviews. I really like Jennifer Garner and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as actors but this story is like watching paint dry. I should have stopped after the first episode but I thought I'd give it a chance. I actually had it on in the background while working on my computer, looking at the tv screen once in a while when the music would sound ominous. The teenage step daughter was nauseating and self indulgent, never giving her step mother a chance to form a bond. The plot is really lame in my opinion and it was pretty easy to figure out the "mystery".
Not really worth the watch...unfortunately ...
