"Our Times (Nuestros Tiempos)" follows two Mexican physicists as they leap from 1966 to 2025, confronting a whirlwind of evolving gender roles, technological change, and questions of identity. The premise is fresh, funny, and socially relevant - a clever blend of sci-fi and heart.
That said, I can't believe I'm saying this, but it would have worked better as a limited series. The film simply doesn't give enough time to explore its characters or fully unpack the culture shock between the two eras. The tension between past values and present realities deserved more room to breathe.
Still, it's a thoughtful, entertaining watch - just one that feels like it's bursting at the seams.

I truly hope this marks the beginning of a new series. The adaptation of Department Q into a Scottish setting was handled exceptionally well, and Matthew Goode delivered a standout performance. It's clear that a lot of care went into assembling a strong ensemble cast-each character felt authentic and well-balanced within the team dynamic.
