"Dead in the Water: Part 1" is where it all began for one of Australian TV's most iconic shows - a strong start to the show based around the NSW Police Force's Sydney Water Police unit.
A fire and subsequent bombing on a charter ferry in the middle of the harbour brings Colin Friels' Det Snr Constable Frank Holloway and Catherine McClements' Det Snr Constable Rachel Goldstein onto the scene.
The chemistry between the two leads is strong right off the bat as they chase down the perpetrator of the deadly bombing.
The procedural element is good, with some well-executed action sequences making good use of Sydney Harbour, with the obligatory shots of the Bridge, Opera House and even Luna Park.
