I thought this movie worked really well, a believable storyline and characters that were not " over the top " Currie Graham was excellent in the role of the ruthless villian , and Ally Walker was equally as good in her role as the struggling , recently widowed mother trying to keep things together following the tragic loss of her husband , for her and her teenage son.

Their paths meet as she gets her first listing as a realtor, which has also attracted the attention of villian Currie, but its not the house that he is interested in....... I do recommend this movie, some fine acting , direction , and most of all, the heroine ( Ally Walker) is totaly likeable and real , not at all fake and wooden as we see so often with leading women.

Give this actress more roles please ???

Real estate agent, Val Spencer (Ally Walker) isn't doing very well. Her life has become extremely difficult since her husband's recent suicide. Efforts to list a house have been unsuccessful.

So, when a couple calls and wants to see the house, Val eagerly heads out to meet them.

What Val doesn't know is that a different couple has arrived ahead of her. They're a pair of thieves, and the male of the duo is a ruthless murderer! They're looking for something that the former homeowner had. As Val grows increasingly suspicious, she finds herself drawn into the middle of a deadly mystery.

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY is an effective made-for-TV movie. It's a suspenseful thriller with a solid story and well-realized characters. Ms. Walker plays Val with just the right mix of fear and defiance. There's also a satisfying finale...

This is the standard made for TV fare.

The plot is almost plausible.

It is not an awful waste of time.

This was a pretty good movie, certainly better than the rating of 4.7.
