It's a rough watch, but not because of the difficult topic of hospice and death. I was disappointed, especially after seeing many of the reviews. The thing that's stands out the most is how poorly the characters are written. Absolutely terrible dialogue. These characters didn't feel like real people, despite the hard work on the part of the actors. Well acted but I felt bad for the actresses having to work with that script. It feels like a stage play but not in a good way. I wanted to like this movie but it's a character driven narrative and I couldn't buy into the characters at all. Rating: 2/10.

To all the filmmakers out there - if you make a dialogue-heavy film that requires your audience to listen and pay attention ... doesn't it make sense to ensure that what the actors are saying is actually understandable and that they are not mumbling from barely audible to piercingly loud soundtrack to barely audible dialogue again?
Make it watchable and make it comfortably audible especially if the film is heavily based on dialogue.
I could barely get through the first 5 minutes without having the remote control in my hand to turn it up, turn it down, rewind and rewind. Absolutely painful!
Even with subtitles turned on (watched on Netflix which has great subtitles functionality), it could not keep up with the dialogue.
If you lose your viewers' attention in the first 5 minutes because dialogue volume ups and downs, you not only lose our attention completely, you frustrate the viewer beyond reprehension.
You lost me completely due to the poor balance of audible enjoyment. Do better.

I understand what they were trying to do with this movie but it was just a terrible execution. Talk about cringy watching the hospice nurse talk to the daughters every day about their father. Having worked in medicine and in the field, this is absolutely the worst. Additionally, having family who went through hospice, this too was awful and misrepresented. The exchanges between the sisters looked and felt like real life because the actors are seasoned but other than that, this was tough to watch. I like the ending but the way this came together was weird and a bit awkward. I would not recommend.
