In the scene in March 1938, when Hitler arrives to Berlin right after the Anschluss, a "Achtung Spione" (Beware spies) is hanging at a advertising column. The poster was introduced in 1939 during World War 2.

In a bar scene in March 1938 the song "Kann denn Liebe Sünde sein" from Der Blaufuchs (1938) is sang. The movie however was filmed in August-October 1938 and premiered in January 1939.

The birthday movie for Goebbels was shown to him the first time for his 43th Birthday in 1940. In the movie he sees it the first time in November 1941.

Police and SS insignia for general officers switches back and forth between a three-leaf version used in the 1930s and a straighter leaf insignia with one to three pips which was adopted after 1942. The second insignia did not exist until the 1940s and SS insignia was not worn at all by police generals until after this time.

Joseph Goebbels walked with a pronounced limp in his leg, a result of his club foot, and had difficulty walking quickly and could not effectively run. The actor portraying Goebbels walks without this difficulty and has no sign of this handicap.
