For as long as I remember, the assassination of JFK has both bothered and interested me. I've watched the docos and read a few books, but this 4-part expose was nothing short of extraordinary. The depth of new, untold facts leads the viewer down a path of lies, deception and undoubtable truths that, frankly, left me breathless, angry and at times, in tears. Brilliantly presented, often with Oliver Stone (Director, "JFK" 1991 blockbuster with Kevin Costner) interviewing many of the extremely reputable doctors, pathologists and investigators, it is truly a must-see series that not only reveals so many closely guarded secrets and anomalies, it's presented in such a way that many doubters would hang their heads in shame that they were never lead to believe the greatest lie the world has ever been told.

I've read the book countless times - in fact it's one of my all-time favs. I was apprehensive when the first mini series aired back in the 90's with due cause. How to fit such a thrilling and intricate story into a few hours without losing the integrity of King's masterpiece. Whilst I thought the cast was somewhat disjointed, it pretty well stuck to the story. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought the new production could possibly be worse. WRONG!!! Again a questionable cast with only one stand-out, that being Alex Skarsgard, who was great as Flagg. Apart from that, the only cast member worth mentioning was Kojak the dog. And here's the biggest spoiler alert - it's a completely different ending, with imperative story-lines not explored at all. It was an incredible disappointment and that said, I'll dust off my well read copy of The Stand and enjoy it even more.
