4 stars for Nicholas Cage only, but the rest of the cast is way below average.

The bad: this story is all over the place, it's NOT credible and THAT matters because this is suppose to be a serious drama and then you better get your facts straight, storywise.

It's really kinda obnoxious as well, but again, without any credibility, storywise, because there are simply too many parts that dont make much sense.

I am a huge Nicholas Cage fan, the man can still act really well and he has been starring in several terrific movies lately, but this one is just too low on credibility for me to be able to enjoy it.

Seen these series way back then and I must admit this is a worthy follow up of this morbidly funny series!

The good: there is something hilarious AND simultaneously something very creepy about knowing that these people are all destined to die in a cruel and unexpected way. You know it and you still get shocked AND pleased in HOW stupidly horrendous they are about to die.

No household names as actors, but just as before they all act well , all portraying this sickening fear of dying to the T.

Any bad? 90 minutes is just about enough repetitive deaths in a row to not get bored and I must admit that the very first deaths were the best with the latter ones being less impressive visually.

Recommended watch for anybody into this kind of comedy gore and also recommended for the orignal fans of this fabulously dark Final Destination series.

I have seen the earlier 2 editions which I really liked, this final edition is not the best one, but I still love the rock hard action and bleak and depressing feel and look of it.

The good: this series is a must see for the action fans who DO care about credible characters and who DONT care if the story is bleak and gritty and depressing.

Just as in the earlier 2 editions this one has got tons of riveting chases and bare knockle fights, but what is most enticing to watch is seeing the leading character endure this surge of violence and fight through it come hell or high water!

Recommended watch for the action fans. The French do definitely know how to produce great credible action flicks! Merci beaucoup!

I expected the worst based on lots of negative reviews. I had read this final's story was disjointed and boring and lacking in action, but I found that not to be true. This might not be the best of the MI editions but it'll certainly please the average Mission Impossibe fan.

The good: contineous suspsense. Yes, there is a lot of talk at the start, but I dont mind talking heads when the suspense is electric!

More good: this edition must have the least amount of jokes of all the editions, but just as with the final edition of Indiana Jones, which was quite serious as well, it did not bore me at all, on the contrary, this movie had me on the edge of my seat and it was quite a joy to watch!

Any bad? Well the story can be a bit confusing. Remember this: Ethan is fighting AI. Ai wants to ignite a nuclear global war and Tom Cruise is fighting to save us all from extinction.

On a personal note, I loved the thundering soundscore, I loved the underwater scenes without any dialogue, I loved Angela Basset as the president of the USA and I loved Tom Cruise just being Tom Cruise!

Enjoy, because this franchise will now self destruct in 2025, because this was the very last edition of this spectalur Mission Impossible franchise, or wasnt it....?

I must admit that I enjoyed watching it, but I must also confess I forgot about this movie a day later, because it is definitely not extraordinary good nor is it in any way shape or form original or surprising, let alone thrilling.

This is perfectly tailored to the action adventure loving crowd, but without hitting any highs or lows. Same old, same old,

Not any good then? Well, I really loved Harrison Ford's performance. And the other actors did perform adequeately.

If you are into a popcorn movie, with lots of action, this will do nicely, but dont get your hopes up, because I really couldnt remember much of it a few days later, THAT's how UNimpressive it was...

The first few minutes were promising, but after that NO ACTION for half an hour. Then I had to wait another half hour for a shootout. What the what !*@

The bad: BEWARE this movie trailer looks exciting and Ben Affleck is a good actor, but this movie is a complete dud, a complete nothingburger, totally excluded from ANY sort of riveting action! BORING.

More bad: perhaps there is some thrilling suspsense that makes it worth a watch? NOPE. Lots and lots of boring talk.

Even more bad: Ben Affleck looks silly with his weird facial expression and his silly accent, but what is WAY worse is the other leading actress who is a complete nobody. NO chemistry whatsoever.

I am a big Ben Affleck fan and he has made some terrific gangster pictures but this one is absolutely dreadfully BORING.

I am a big Clive Owen fan and he was THE reason I started watching it, but what a disappointment it turned out to be...

The bad: usually Clive Owen stars in good quality independent arthouse movies, but this movie has written BLAND and CHEAP COPYCAT all over it, because this story wont ever get thrilling or suspenseful and that's a problem when watching a supposedly "action thriller". The way it is directed looks really cheap and uninspired. It's ALMOST a B-movie. Bummer!

More bad: what's really not to like as well are ALL the other actors. Besides Clive Owen no one acts well, on the contrary, this moviecast consists of lots of B-actors.

Too bad Clive Owen chose to star in this bland copycat, because this movie is way beneath his excellent acting capabilities.

Definitely NOT recommended for the fans of action thrillers. What a dud!

From the same director that gave us Ocean's Eleven, but this time around it isnt a funny heist flick, but a quite dark and clever spy story, with lots of intricate double crossings and backstabbing between intelligence officers. Probably best suited for a patience arthouse movie audience, because this movie is mostly about the characters and NOT about shootouts and chases.

The good: Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett. They just dont come much better as actors, I truly loved watching them double crossing everyone, although I must admit the plastic surgery didnt Cate Blanchett's former gorgeous face much good, but she still remains so aloof and mysterious despite her unnatural looking plastic face.

Any bad? The supporting actors are about average, but there is a small and terrific supporting role by Pierce Brosnan, who excells at his performance as the conniving head of British Intelligence.

Solid spy movie, which starts out slow, so give it some time you will be rewarded in the end with an excellent character portrait of the despicable depths humans can sink to.

I didnt like this director's previous movie with Jason Statham (the beekeeper), but I do really like this latest one! 7.5 stars.

Any bad? Besides a few silly plot turns and besides Jason being to able to escape unharmed from a rain of bullets I cant think of any real flaws.

The good: SOLID action, the likes we are familiar with when it comes to Jason Statham action flicks. The fights arent extraordinary special, but there are lots of fierce fights and shootouts and chases throughout the entire movie. Never bored for a second.

Even more good: the leading characters are credible. Even the supporting actors are quite good as well, which is a rarity in these kind of action movies. And the bad guys ooze viciousness! I loved that! Nothing beats a real nasty villain.

No jokes or funny oneliners this time around though, but that didnt made me enjoy it less, Jason Statham is cool, calm and collected and goes on a contineous killing spree to kill off the nasty bad guys who kidnapped an innocent young woman for exploitation as a s*xslave.

Recommended for the Jason Statham fans and for those who just want to see a straightforward action movie.

Thank you for reading my 2400 th review on Imdb! And what a way to celebrate this with such a great dark, yet wonderful gangster comedy. But it is probably marketed to the wrong movie audience hence the average ratings...

Any bad? Beware: It's NOT a laugh out loud gangster comedy, but a SLOWBURNING, SUBTLE and QUIRKY portrait of 2 families who both happen to have violent gangsters as their fathers (bill murray and ed harris).

This quirky family gangster portrait, is probably more suited for an arthouse movie audience who can appreciate such a quirky dark script.

The good: Bill Murray and Ed Harris. Man, are these 2 acting legends firing on all cylinders! They truly CARRY this movie. They DELIGHT me with their sublime, yet understated acting performances.

More good: HAVE PATIENCE. The final of this story is to die for! This movie starts out slow and unassuming, but fireworks start to go off (storywise) near the very end of this story.

I truly LOVE these kind of slowburning, subtle gangster comedies, which the Coen Brothers were masters at, but since they havent been making them for a while, I was so pleased with this little gem!

Recommended for the fans of the slowburning, dark, yet quirky gangster comedies (coen brothers). And mind you, however absurd this story might be it still has got a HEART and SOUL, because these characters are so likeable and recognizable with lots of wonderful dialogues, that i'll remember them long after having seen this movie...

I had high hopes for this movie, with some of my favorite actors starring in it and Adrian Brody does perform very well, as did Guy Pearce, but that wasnt enough to make me enjoy it to the fullest.

The bad: this movie lasts a whopping 3 and a half hour. Only superb movie classics can keep me glued to the chair for this long and this certainly aint a classic! And I got bored quite early on. Everything takes it's time, TOO MUCH time and I got bored. There I said it and i'll say it again I GOT BORED.

More bad: although this movie definitely is NOT SUITED for the impatient of heart, but it is also NOT SUITED for those who yearn for intense drama, which it is severely lacking from!

This movie should have been cut A LOT shorter, it would have really helped feeing bored half way through...

Mind you this is definitely a beautifully made movie and it is really well acted, but it definitely will not be recommended by me to my family or friends...

The good: Leading actors Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton. They just dont come much better than that! On top of that there is real nasty Nazi character. So far so good, but...

The bad: this movie was released in the sixties. Synchronisation was terrible at that time: you see lips moving and words coming out a second later. Perhaps you wont mind this, but it got on my nerves quite a bit.

More bad: what is nice about this movie is also it's weakest poinnt: it has got a slow build up of suspense and thrill. In todays world of 30 second tiktok videos youngsters wont have the patience to watch this movie, but only the 40 plus generation will likely be rewatching this movie again, but even for them it is an excercise in PATIENCE, because the events unfold so SLOWLY that one see the paint dry on the walls.

It's still KIND of a classic, because at the time this movie was huge, but unfortunately time hasnt been kind to this movie and I would only wanna recommend this to the elderly generation and even for them I would like to warn them that 60 years have past since the making of this movie and it (unfortunately) shows...

If you ever were a Tom Green fan this documentary about himself, directed and written by himself is definitely great fun to watch.

It's somehow really heartwarming as well, because Tom (however idiotic he might be), Tom had a dream to become as famous as David Letterman and although he didnt reach THAT kind of stardom, he did get to host the David Letterman Show and he did get to hear from so many people in the entertainment industry that he was their inspiration, like JackAss and Joe Rogan!

If for some reason (being young) you never heard of Tom Green you gonna have a good time watching it as well and look up some old shows of him on Youtube because this man sat comedy on fire back in the nineties!

What a guy! What an incredible journey into comedy. And he is still rockin' till this very day, now living in his homecountry Canada, but still performing live, at which he excells!

Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell are two of my favorite comedy actors and they have proven themselves to be incredibly funny, but I did NOT laugh once in this entire movie, only a smirk here and there.

Comedy is quite personal, but I only wanna warn other comedy loving movie goers that this is NOT a comedy hit, it is more a comedy flop.

And it lasts almost 2 hours! What a drag to watch it till the end!

If there is nothing else to watch, even then I would not dare recommend this movie to friends or family. Better put on an older comedy with one of these two excellent actors that is actual fun to watch...

BEWARE all you fans of Mark Wahlberg, he only has got a smal l supporting role of some 20-30 minutes, the rest of the movie we get to see two below average actors, who cant act, without any chemistry. Bummer!

This movie starts out alright (6 stars) but soon after Mark Wahlberg is out of the picture, those 2 ohter leading actors got on my nerves big time.

NO thrill. NO riveting action. NO jokes. NO originality. And incredibly lousy CGI special effects that look SO cheap and SO fake that it is cringeworthy.

I am a big Mark Wahlberg fan and I have seen ALL of his movies, but this movie should be AVOIDED by all the Mark Wahlberg fans! You have been warned!

An action comedy that has boring action scenes and no good jokes. Quite an inferior copycat of other much better action comedies. Neflix dud!

Not any good? Well, we have Jamie Fox and Cameron Diaz who are the ONLY reason why this movie is worth a watch for fans of these 2 actors, but even they cant elevate this inferior copycat to anything above average at best.

The bad: it's such a bore to watch. From the get go till the very end I didnt laugh once, not once. Everything has got that suffocating averag Neflix sauce dripped over it, it wont annoy you, it wont offend you, but it is stripped from any originality or real fun.

I only knew Luther Vandross from his many old great hit songs on the radio back in the days, so I am not a diehard fan, but this documentary gave me so many goosebumps and such a good feeling! Really touched by it (and surprised by it as well...)

What's most surprising to me was the fact that before he got known as a singer he wrote so many songs for other famous singers who all cherished his songwriting skills AND his background singing performances, like Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and David Bowie.

Famous actor Jamie Fox describes several witty memories of him stealing girls' hearts with playing Luther Vandross songs while courting them, making all the girls melt in his arms!

Singers all have their peak and then they mostly fade away from the spotlights, but I never knew what happened to Luther Vandross and this movies story about his downfall is so touching, yet still so sad that I dont wanna tell about it here in this review.

I can highly recommend watching this doumentary if you have doubts about being it worth the watch ESPECIALLY if you are not a big fan of his work!

What a voice! What a sweet soul! What a tragedy!

Not as good as the first edition, which I rated with 8 stars, but I still did enjoy watching it, although it takes it's time to get started...

The bad: the first hour starts rather slow and uneventful, there are several scenes that are dispensable, lots of chitchat scenes between these criminals planning the heist, which could have been deleted to speed up the flow of the story.

Besides Gerard Butler there arent any other charismatic leading actors. The other actors certainly aint bad at all, but they sure arent A-list material either. (this is only a minor criticism though).

The good: when this movie finally get's going in the second half it is a real joy to watch these criminals excecute this smart heist with an enjoyable chase and shootouts that follows and with a surprising ending.

Beware Americans who are not used to subtitles, this movie contains several European languages which must be subtitled or synced to English. But this contains only a tiny part of the dialogue.

Solid action. Smart heist. Gerard Butler still rocks. Enjoyable heist movie, but dont expect fireworks...

Seen it several times now and this movie is still such a joy to watch because of the terrific acting performances by some of the finest comedy acting talents.

More good: this story is to die for. The dialogues are soooo good. It's basically one contineous mess up of an ATTEMPT at the heist of a safe. And the WAY things go belly up and disastrously wrong is absolutely hilarious. I usually never like farcical comedies but this one has everything right.

Produced by Steven Soderbergh, the director of the brilliant classic heist comedy titled "Ocean's Eleven" and this movie was co produced by George Clooney, who also has a tiny role as a wheelchair bound safecracker.

Beware: this movie starts out quite slow and uneventful during the first hour, in which there is a puzzle to be solved WHO is the spy. In the second hour though all hell breaks loose with lots a fierce drama and riveting action with a blisteringly mesmirising final, so please have some patience, you will be rewarded.

The story is quite simple, although it looks quite complicated at the starts, but it boils down to an interrogation of a group of suspected spies, of whom only 1 is the real spy. That is the first hour. The second hour is basically one long action packed drama, with riveting shootouts and fights and a few nasty torture scenes.

One heck of a solid spy drama the Koreans are masters at! Really good acting performances, beautiful photography and sound, solid direction and a fascinating storyline. What more could I wish for...!

Mix of a hired killer story and a family portrait of a single mom. And it works really well! They really take their time to develop both the hired killer story AND the family story simultaneously, lasting a whopping 2 hours and 15 minutes, BUT it is never boring to watch and that is coming from someone who gets bored easily.

This is a SUBTLE and credible portrait of a hired killer who happens to be a mom of a lesbian daughter, who is struggling to come out for her sexual identity. It's a really warmhearted subtle portrait of a mother's love for her daughter and all the usual struggles that come along raising a teenage daughter. I applaud the time and attention for these true to life dialogues and acting perfomances. I am Impressed!

Beware: please dont expect nonstop killing sprees, there are several of those really well choreographed fighting scenes, BUT 75% of this movie is about talks about family bonds or talks between gangsters about their organised crime bonds and THOSE DIALOGUES make this movie rise above the average other crime movie.

I would like to award it with 7.5 stars. Really solid, original, well crafted, enjoyable movie. Probably best suited for those who dont like nonstop gory killing sprees, but prefer intelligent credible dialogues and believable characters above action.

Leave it to the South Koreans to create a mesmirising mix of action and drama! Only letdown being several unbelievable plot turns but that didnt stop me from thoroughly enjoying this solid escape drama.

The good: there is a lust for life and freedom which flows through this story which makes this story such a treat to watch. We get to see the harrowing fight to escape North Korea by 1 soldier who is trying to outsmart the entire North Korean defense line in order to be live free in Souht Korea. Will he succeed or die trying?

Any bad? There are several plot turns that are incredibly cringeworthy, because they just would not happen in real life. Such a shame, because with a little rewrite of these unbelievable plot turns this movie could have deserved 8 stars. Now I will award with a solid 7 stars.

Recommended watch for the fans of prison escape / war dramas. Dont expect fireworks, but it pushes the right buttons, delivering one solid action drama!

If you are in for a lighthearted action movie (NOT a comedy) then this is a good pick. I have seen all the earlier editions and this is yet another enjoyable one.

The good: dont expect fireworks, but if you are into these kind of lighthearted South Korean action movies then this movie is a guaranteed fun way to spent your time.

Great characters, with really good acting performances. A fast moving interesting storyline, with several funny plot turns and characters (although it is not a comedy). Lots of action at the right moments so one wont get bored for a second.

Any bad? It's not a spectacular action movie, but it doesnt aim to be either. Simply good fun.

The good: A solid 7 stars would be best suited for this movie, but since I have an admiration for Jude Law as an actor I up it to 8 stars, because he excelled as a burnout cop.

Any bad? Jude Law is trying to arrest a white power group who is robbing banks, BUT the problem with these white power bankrobbers is that they dont ooze real danger, simply put the bad guys dont look really bad, but this is only a minor criticism.

Co produced by Jude Law. And his terrific acting performance and that of Tye Sheridan make this movie well worth a watch for the fans of this bleak crime genre.

Beware: director and producer Justin Kurzel has proven to be an excellent craftsman, but his movies are always full of dark despair and bleakness, so dont expect a funny cop action movie, it's all doom and gloom, but THAT'S what I liked about it, because this dark and heavy atmosphere is what really drew me into this slowburning, yet violent and bleak story!
