Overhyped and overrated, extremely disappointed in this miniseries. I was told this was comparable to Saving Private Ryan, which its not.

I recommend Sword of Honour instead.

War is absolute hell, something that only veterans Will ever understand. The first scene in saving private Ryan and the movie come and see are the only times I've seen a movie showcase what war really is, death agony, mortal fear.

This series showc soldiers with limbs missing joking about it. After an artillery barrage going for minutes made a tree almost fall into a foxhole a soldier makes a pun.

This is a very cozy depiction of war, we're trauma isn't a thing. It is the way many people want to look at war. But it isn't even close to reality. I recommend the movie come and see and the first scene in saving private Ryan if you wan't a somewhat realistic view.

So you are trying to watch a war film with bullets and explosions going off and the wobbly hand held camera just keeps shaking around all over the place giving you a damn headache trying to watch the action... No thank you, not for me.
