Film was launched with much fanfare in November 1986, it was financed by Anu Malik and his two brothers. The launch party had "hum sab ko salaam karte hain" blaring on loudspeakers.
This was the final release of a Govinda and Neelam film, although it was delayed. This was certainly not the final movie that they filmed since this was completed in 1988. The final movie of the pair that was released was Taaqatwar in 1989.
Last time where Mandakini and Aditya Pancholi worked in a film.
Sanjay Dutt kept the producer's waiting for a year. He told them he would give dates as soon as a he could. The producers started shooting with out Sanjay for 7 reels. Finally Sanjay told them he was no longer interested in the film. Anu Malik was hurt as his brother was making the film and they waited for Dutt patiently. Finally Aditya Pancholi stepped into the role. Many in the industry stated that Sanjay indeed was going to do the film but Sanjay realized they shot so much with Govinda that his (Sanjay's) role was indeed a smaller role than Govinda's. Sanjay knew this would hurt his career and decided to walk out of the film.
