Ebola Rex

Following the release of a deadly T-Rex, residents of a local Los Angeles neighborhood find themselves forced to deal not only with the escape dino but the effects of a disease it carries, forcing them to find a way to survive the infectious elements to stop it.

There was a lot to like with this one. One of it's stronger elements is the highly enjoyable setup that manages to cram quite a bit of story into this than expected. In a rapid-fire montage of clever exposition, the idea of giving the various figures going into battle against the creature, how it got turned into the mutated species it is and how the countermeasures are in force to stop it. This creates a fine grounding for everything to come while also managing to get the dinosaur free and going out on the loose. That is put to good use where the majority of the film is based on encounters with the creature or the efforts to stop it. As the attacks might fall into the nonsensical here with the creature sneaking up on people inconspicuously, the rampage through the suburbs, the encounter at the statue park or fighting with the bounty hunter in the woods offers a fun mix of cheesy sequences. Once this gets the military involved in the finale picking up from the action to start this off, it picks up considerably as the action is cheesy and over-the-top try to stop it. Overall, these are the film's positive elements while there are some minor issues. The first problem here is the rather confusing manner of how fast this goes into the storyline that manages to skip over important factors needed to get into it. Although there's a lot to like with this aspect, the creation of the dinosaur in the first place or how it got loose are missed out on, only that it did which can cause some whiplash trying to catch up. As well, the fact that the segments involving the friends in the bunker are shot in such a way as to make it nearly impossible to see due to the fluorescent lighting and constant close-ups makes these scenes somewhat confusing. The last issue with this one is to be expected with the silly and goofy effects work for the creature. This factor isn't really a shock, but these aren't too detrimental and don't hold this back too much.

This movie is one of the best ones ever made. The subtle nods and themes of the movie are well paced and perfectly crafted. There's nothing much to say about this movie other than it's perfect in nearly every way. I will 100% watch again.

What is this film? What is happening? Why is Mike like that? I hate it. I love it. It's the worst movie I've ever sat through. I am blessed to have watched it.

I don't know what the plot was supposed to be, it didn't seem to be very clear or well thought out. Felt like a bunch of random clips slapped together with a mediocre cgi t-rex. It was perfect.

Genuinely though I will never watch this movie again. It was painful, even though it gave me and my friends an occasional laugh. I thought Mike was going to be a much better character than he was but that was expecting way too much of this film. He was the best actor though, which also isn't saying much.

This "Movie" has no redeeming value whatsoever. I'm quoting movie because this....thing is less than an hour if you cut the credits, and even shorter if you cut the useless host segments. So what we essentially have here is 20 minutes of a really strange looking dude walking in the woods with a toy gun, 20 (bizarre) minutes of a gay male couple engaging in violent foreplay in a poorly lit basement, 2 minutes of someone in a Mel Novak mask talking to a computer monitor, and 2 minutes of Atari level special effects. No story, no pacing, no characterization, no structure, no payoff. So, basically everything we've come to expect from this filmmaker (who apparently changed his name to Dark Infinity--CRINGE).

I can't do zero stars, unfortunately. Please stay far far away. You'll wish you had.

Phillips Fabulously Fits as the agitated Save-The-T-Rex Protester ; & Ken May is 'Dick Steel' , the BountyHunter Hot on the T-Rex Trail , who hassle very Strange Eating Habits . Ryan Hadley & Melissa Delisi are the 'Picnic Man & Woman , who learn Not to eat 'al fresco' the Hard Way ! This calls for the Military ; & the first one we meet is the Iconic Action Star , Mel Novak , as The 'Department of Defense General Shannon Davis' , who Reports right to the President ! There's also James E. Taylor as 'Senator Bob Morris' & John R. Walker as the British BroadCaster 'Peter Sommers' , trying to make Heads-or-Tails of this whole Insane Situation ! There's even a Splendid Romp through 'Dino-Land' led by Jared Allen ; & Always Remember Marvelous 'MALVOLIA' is the Generously Endowed & Gloriously Gorgeous Jennifer Nangle !
