Monster high is a line of fashion dolls- why do they look like production gave them 50$ spirit halloween gift cards and they went to town??

Boring plot, bad one liners, acting was less than sublime and full of plot holes.

The songs.. THE SONGS- every scene change had a song. I had to genuinely skip through the songs.

The whole movie was basically:

Person a: i dont fit in!

Person b: me too let me explain this in a song

I honestly really had high hopes for this movie, but now i realize that Monster High was just a cash grab from a big company trying to profit off of an older generations nostalgia.

Ironically, the movie just looked really cheap?

This movie will likely follow me into my nightmares. Might be good for a horror movie marathon I suppose, but other than that a 1/10. Happy halloween..

As a extreme fan of monster high, for years I've watched all the movies and the series they had- I put on this film in hopes of a good recreation only to see a absl bombsite of a film. The characters bare no resemblance at all to the original characters, their personalities anrent even similar in the slightest, and their style? It's absolutely atrocious.

I am disgusted and disappointed. Literally just scroll on TikTok and you will see better recreations than this FUNDED movie. If you think that I am sitting through over a hour of this monstrosity (No pun intended as this film doesn't deserve to even be joked about) then you are deluded.

So so so incredibly disappointing if you know anything about the ORIGINAL monster high. If I could give it a zero and get it removed off every platform, I would.

In this adaptation that seems more like a parody of the original series both cgi and cartoon, we get a whole new universe where one of the popular characters, Clawdeen is a half human breed completely ruining the storyline to Frankie's Boyfriend Shriek. Not only does Clawdeen not have Draculaura's cousin Thad as a boyfriend but she seems to be a love interest for Deuce the Gorgan, the boyfriend to Cleo however he has became an ex-boyfriend in this film. Not only are Clawdeen's siblings missing but also several other characters. Each personality is different and the fact that Clawdeen was originally an Afro-Latina, Draculaura a Transylvanian, or Lagoona an Australian. This also sets up a different dynamic in the school.

It is SO BAD, I wanna give you a zero, but that's not possible, so I give you a one.

This has literally ruined my whole childhood, I don't even want to call it a movie. It's a hellish nightmare that ruins the true Monster High.

The songs are very grindy and aren't good. Compared to Boo York, this was more like letting your drunk uncle on the karaoke machine.

The character's are not true to their original selves and it is TRIGGERING. Draculaura is not her usual fun personality and she is also missing her iconic accent. Abbie has no accent either! Lagoona is no longer an Aussie! Frankie looks 50 years old not like a teenager. CLEO AND DEUCE AREN'T TOGETHER.

I want the original MH back and would honestly sell my organs for it.

This movie was terrible. I didn't have high hopes for it going it to it and rightfully so. I knew from the first 10 minutes the movie would be a nightmare. The movie doesn't even stay true to the original shows or even the movies. Its almost an entirely different movie with Monster High slapped on it. The lines are delivered awkwardly and the acting is not great (no offense to the actors and actresses). The musical aspect of it just makes it 10 times worse. (though I dislike musicals in general). As someone who loved the show and the movies (even though they were questionable at times) this is an absolute disgrace to the original.

This movie is FAR from what anyone would want to watch, especially if you grew up with the original monster high dolls and show. They completely changed the personality of each of the characters, gave them cheap clothes that arent even CLOSE to the original, and overall the script just sucks. Anyone who was part of this movie probably never even seen the show or past movies, it was just so bad. One example is draculara. She was actually my favorite character growing up, she was so bubbly and sweet. Did not expect her to be a jerk. Also Lagoona's costume was the worst, she wasnt even recognizeable.

I literally only made an account just to leave a review sharing how AWFUL this movie is. NEVER NEVER EVER watch this, don't give the creators views or money.

Just so you know, this is from a perspective of someone who watched the original series and movies.

For starters, every single character design was HORRENDOUSLY AWFUL. You'd expect better designs from a show built off a doll company but I guess they couldn't do anything better.

Draculaura was awful, they got rid of her adorable design and cutsey accent. I feel ASHAMED to have her as a favorite character now. I feel ASHAMED for ever liking her.

Frankie was also BUTCHERED. Like WHAT THE HELL was that hair????? I appreciate the diversity of them being non-binary, but I also don't. Like at least make them she/they or something.

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON CLAUDEEN. HORRIBLE!! They turned this "badass" type of character into a super nerd reject! I am APOLLED. DISGUESTED. HORRIFIED. I want to STRANGLE the person who thought this was a good idea.

Cleo is a villain now??? Yes she was snotty, but she was their friend! Why is she an antagonist?!?!?

Clawd just. Doesnt exist.

Ghoulia. Is. A. Zombie!!!! She only speaks in "Zombie." And the way she spoke, her groans and sounds, were a form of representing austism!!!!! Representation and diversity my ass.

The plotline is cringe, the story is cringe, the fast that they want to make a part two makes me want to kill myself.

Be for real why was this movie even made Ill give my best review on this ever. Okay so one why is claween half human and half monster where is the monster high I love these reboots are out of hand. The costumes just looks like they were on a budget and got everything from dollar general or party city. I legit had high hopes for this movies but they are gone. Every actor cant act and they did horrible. I am going to watch the ORIGNAL MOVIES FOR MONSTER HIGH BECAUSE THEY WERE ACTUALLY AMAZING LEAVE SOME MOVIES ALONE CAUSE THIS SUCKED BAD. Stick to the 2010 movies please PLEASE. I actually cried.

Absolutely awful movie I can't express how awful it is. The writing for the characters is poor and the characters have been completely changed in the worst possible way. Could write more but it's not worth wasting time on.

It's also extremely cringy it makes me want to cry and don't even get me started on the CGI it's atrocious i've never seen such awful CGI in my life. I also don't understand why characters such as Draculaura and Abby didn't have their original accents. I understand that a real life Monster High movie may not bee the same as the animated movies however it takes away from the identities of the characters unnecessarily.

Horrible movie don't watch it.

You could tell for a fact that the person who created this hasn't watched any MH movies. They got most of the characters personalities wrong , they lightwashed/ whitewashed characters , the acting was terrible , cgi as well , and the plotline was just pure boring. I had to skip most of the songs because they were just so infuriating for some reason? Frankie was the only somewhat accurate to their original character , they had a lot of funny lines and Ceci did good overall. In conclusion this movie is a cash grab and trying to profit off of older fans nostalgia please do not waste your time on whatever this is.

I was a huge Monster High fan back when the series originally came out in 2010. I loved the story and the characters, and the series kicked off my liking of horror movies. The original had charm, a good story, and was fun to watch.

.... This reboot has none of that. I'm sorry, but this movie doesn't match the vibes of monster high at all. I tried so hard to give this movie and reboot a chance, but this is just another soulless cash grab reboot from Hollywood.

Instead of changing characters that people had loved for so long, they should have just added new characters in the same universe. The original 2010 story and characters were fine. Heck, even doing a series on the young adult books from that period would have been cool.

One reboot already did not too well, so why do another? This movie feels like a Disney Channel attempt at monster high, and it didn't do it justice.

I couldn't even finish it, it was that bad. FRANKIE IS FOR ONE A GIRL AND SHE IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE MAIN CHARACTER. CLAWDEAN IS A FULL MONSTER!! Both her parents were literally monsters?? OH AND DIDNT SHE HAVE BROTHERS WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM???? ALSOO the costumes are FUGLY to say the LEAST. Oh and again WHY DOES FRANKIE HAVE TO BE THEY/ THEM? If she was born "15 days ago" Why does she care so much if people refer as "she or her" if she's 15 days old? SINCE WHEN IS MY GIRL FRANKIE NONBINARY AND WHY DID THEY MAKE IT HER WHOLE PERSONALITY. The movie is overrall bad. I knew only being 5 minutes into that excuse for a movie. ITS BAD DONT WATCH ITTTTT.

Please for goodness sake take this movie down. Its not only far from the original, its almost offensive? Whoever thought of this was definitely not in the right state of mind and never saw any of the series nor the films. It just made me so angry i almost cried. First: Since when are Clawdeen and Deuce a thing? In the movies Deuce was so in love with Cleo, he worshipped her and supported her. Second: Why does Draculaura practice witchcraft? She is literally a vampire, and since when is she so incredibly rude? Third: I am fine with the fact that Frankie uses they/them pronouns but the way its being presented just seems to me as if its being ridiculed. Fourth: GHOULIA IS A ZOMBIE SHE CANNOT SPEAK.

Dear Producers, take this down. I have been a Monsterhigh fan since it first came out, i had the dolls, I had the merch. Whatever you did, undo it. Or at least give it a diffrent name.

Have been a avied monster high fan since 2010 i forced my mom to binge watch the movies and buy me the dolls, but this movie was just one long disappointment i was exited to relive the best moments of my life the musical part made me want to vomit the 9-12 year old in me is raging with disappointment I was ready to see the best outfits of my favorite monsters and clawdeen ,my idol she inspired how i dress today i don't care if is "unrealistic" for a 15 year old to have on 10 inch platform heels and a skirt that would def be dress coded but its a movie about monster in high school noting is realistic about it, and the acting was the wort thing i've ever seen in my life I could act and I could do better the lines were so forced I was cringing every five mins, Monster high deserves better.

I love fantasy movies and musicals, so the wombo combo of "Monster High: The Movie" should have been the perfect film for me, right? Wrong, I couldn't even finish watching it. It was so blandly generic it became boring 5 minutes in and no matter how I tried I just could not enjoy it.

This takes the old motto of the franchise "be unique be a monster" and spits on it. The changes are awful and the representation aspects are so poorly done it's not even funny.

This latest attempt at rebooting is even less interesting then the last one. Mattel is obsessed with changing their characters over and over again rather employing creativity and creating new ones. While they desperately try to appeal to new fans with every single reboot attempt they actually lose old ones.
