Monster High is so much fun to watch with your family also the music including the dance numbers are actually really good and the cast really did a great job playing their characters! I really liked some of the background scenery in the film giving it a great touched of spookyness! The movie even has a great twist that you never see coming which actually surprised me! The movie keeps it at a level pace not to cheesy at the same time not to dark with character's that are very likable. I hope this film gets a franchise of movies cause movies like these are perfect for the whole family! Go check it out! :)

Genuinely enjoyed this. Great music, basic but entertaining story, and some decent comedic moments. While there is some very obvious budget issues that result in not-so-great CGI, it doesn't effect the experience too much.
Characters are great (albeit very different from their generation one counterparts) and the acting was surprisingly good compared to other live-action nickelodeon projects.
The story was an average coming of age tale, but was entertaining nonetheless (if a little predictable) and the final fight segment felt a bit rushed, but I didn't mind all that much.
As for the songs, they're probably the best thing this movie has to offer. "Coming Out of the Dark" is one of the best songs I've heard from a modern kid's musical since Descendants' "Queen of Mean." I don't think there was a single song I didn't enjoy, which almost never happens for me.
It's a pretty fun movie overall, just remember: It's a reboot. It's not supposed to resemble the original Monster High. Being different isn't a valid reason to hate it and review bomb it. Watch it and actually attempt to form an opinion.
8/10 for being a good movie 10/10 for the hot teacher.

Monster High is so good I mean the music the dancing the characters and the dancing are just so entertaining I have to admit I didn't expect much due to all the commercials but I have to say I wasn't disappointed at all. Deuce is definitely my favorite character and love his song I can trust you There is a little change to the movie but it's not bad you just got to get use to it plus just the fact the movie is gonna get a sequal or a whole franchise is so exciting The ending has a good twist and it's nice to see it didn't go down the very dark route but kept it family friendly So please check out this movie it's very worth watching.

Musicals are always a hit or miss for me -- they either invoke an uncontrollable cringe response, or completely engulf me in magical melodies. Monster High: The Movie is the latter. Imagine a colossal witch caldron filled with teen drama, hidden secrets, a monster with a vendetta, and true friendship. This film brews a mystical potion, enchanting the audience from beginning to end.
Unable to find her place in the "normal" world, Clwdeen Wolf (Miia Harris) applies to Monster High, a hidden school for monsters. There's only one problem, Clawdeen is half wolf and half human, and Monster High is strictly for full-blooded monsters. Armed with a deadly secret, Clawdeen attends Monster High determined to keep her skeleton in the closet. When her humanness begins to present itself, Clawdeen fears she will be shunned, or worse. Clawdeen will stop at nothing to rid herself of human half. With the help of true friends Frankie Stein (Ceci Balagot) and Draculaura (Nayah Damasen), Clawdeen finds comfort in being her true self.
Monster High: The Movie transports viewers into a fantasy adventure world. This film captures the essence of a typical high school, but is way more exciting. You cannot watch this movie without secretly wishing you could enroll as a student. Eager to find her place in the world, Clawdeen Wolf settles into her new high school and quickly makes friends with roommates Frankie Stein, who is also struggling to fit in. They later befriend a third dorm partner, Draculaura, only after realizing she too has a secret she does not want revealed. The trio has a mission to help Calwdeen rid herself of any humanness, and uncover a devious plan to destroy Monster High. The director, Todd Holland, uses well-choreographed dance scenes and catchy songs to tell a story of acceptance and perseverance. Monster High: The Movie models its characters after the infamous Mattel Monster High dolls. The characters' costumes capture the essence of these dolls; bringing a favorite toy to life. My favorite scene is when Frankie Stein, who is only 15 days old, struggles to understand what a "high five" is. I also love the scene where Draculaura magically makes a hideous pimple appear on the nose of the Monster High mean girl, Cleo De Nile (Jy Prishjulnik).
Self-acceptance is a strong message in this film. Many students in Monster High struggle to embrace their true selves. In the real world, teens grapple with fitting in, bullying, parental disappointment, academic pressures and identity issues. Monster High: The Movie highlights the everyday emotional battles of young people and does it in a way that empowers teens to love who they are, no matter how different. You should be aware that there is an LGBTQ+ marriage and same-sex kissing scene. Also, note that the movie is full of magic, sorcery, evil monsters and witchcraft.
I give Monster High: The Movie gets 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 9 to 16, plus adults. This is a fun family-friendly film that everyone can enjoy. It releases on both Nickelodeon and Paramount+ on October 6, 2022. By Hanadie K., KIDS FIRST!

I've been a HUGE fan of monster High since about 2012, so I had some pretty high expectations for this movie when it first announced. However, as more and more of it was announced, I was on the opposite side of the majority who were disgusted and horrified by all the changes being made to the series- I was actually pretty intrigued! And now, after seeing the movie, I really enjoyed it! As a person who just enjoys the entire idea of Monster High, not being a purist, I just had such a fun time with this movie. A personal standout for me was Frankie, they were just on top of everything the entire time. Huge props to Ceci Baligot!
As someone who enjoyed the Disney Descendants movies, I can say this has a similar appeal. There are considerable complaints that this is not like the original franchise. I am quite pleased by that as I was never a fan of the original Monster High.
The first song in the film is quite the ear worm, and it comes after setting up a touching story between the lead and their father. Other characters are introduced during this fun song and dance number and I couldn't help but smile and relate to one character in particular.
The film has a lower budget and it shows in exterior shots of the school, however, I found this rather charming. I remember the height of direct to dvd sequels that used a very similar, low-grade cgi. Given that this is meant to be a film for a younger audience, I wasn't bothered by the lower cgi quality.
Love interests were not a huge focus in this film. I appreciated that. There is certainly a bit of a love triangle, but it isn't the main focus, but rather a sub plot that helps lead to the finale.
Costumes were fun, though because this is based on a fashion doll line, I wonder if they are trying to make the dolls more accessible in their fashion for audiences. I can support that as not everyone can afford a faux fur shoulder shrug or glittering 7 inch heels.
The plot was pulled through the entire movie well for the age range this was intended for and the conflicts the characters experienced with each other or the environment weren't earth shattering by any means. They also seemed to move passed the conflicts with relative ease, but again...consider the intended audience.
For a competitive film to the very successful Disney Descendants franchise, I think Nickelodeon is doing quite well with this entry, if only the gatekeeping fans would give it time to breathe and allow new fans to join in on the fun.

It was absolutely amazing great cast awesome costumes the only thing Is we needed more time with Deuce and Clawdeen there chemistry is so awesome and they needed Clawd in there he was one of my favorite characters but it was absolutely amazing movie people are giving it hard time but there just living in the past I thought it was absolutely phenomenal. And the music was also phenomenal my favorite song was Trust
The actors who play clawdeen and deuce have amazing voices and the dancing was awesome
The director did a great job with this movie. It was an amazing movie I've been watching it non stop.
According to my son (10 years old) this is the best musical-singing movie he has seen in the last two years.
We watched it with him and we enjoyed it a lot.
I don't unterstand the bad reviews; what more could you ask of a film than to make kids happy?
I think it is very under rated.
The friendship relations demonstrated in this movie are innocent and positive.
The film promotes body positivity, general positivity and constructive diversity.
The songs are nice, the performance of the kids is engaging especially for children. The overall plot is interesting.
We are looking forward for a second part for Halloween 2023.

I was nervous about watching the animated characters come to life but wow, this movie was AWESOME!!!! I really loved seeing the characters live, the makeup and school ___location are so great. The fact there's a non-binary character to play Frankie is super cool and I appreciate how diverse the cast is playing the characters. It's so important and makes it feel relatable to teenage life. I think the storyline was great, and loved the music and dances. To me it had high- school musical vibes, but for monsters, in a good way! I think it had just the right amount of music, not too much! (I'm not a big musical fan!) There is a real sense of belonging and inclusion between the friends/characters which is so important. I'm hoping there will be a 2nd movie because the cliff hanger had me wanting more. I will definitely watch it again with my friends.

An overall fun Movie with a good Message behind it, (+Great soundtrack). Although it's a kid's targeted Movie it really captivated me from the Start with the new Lead Character; Half Human, Half Werewolf Clawdeen (Miia Harris) story line, trying to find a place to belong in the World. The Costumes are nice and fit the Characters personally really well. Frankie Stein played by Ceci Balagot being only 15 Days old doesn't really know anything about fashion since they're just now discovering themselves. The plot is overall good, though it feels like there was a part of the story cut somewhere in the middle. The CGI is also pretty decent, great for Nickelodeon though. But the best thing about the Movie would be The Humour and The Songs, Especially regarding Frankie's intrusive thoughts. As for the songs My favourites would be "Coming out of The Dark" and "Three of Us" both sung by the Main 3 Clawdeen, Frankie and Draculaura. They're just great songs you could listen to even outside of the Movie. I'd recommend you watch it with no bias to the First Generation of Monster High as this Movie is meant to be The Start and Introduction of the new Generation 3 Reboot, Im very excited for what's next!

My friends & I saw Monster High which was a great Halloween Treat. The music was better then a lot of other tv musicals & the dancing was pretty good too. The acting was pretty good so was the makeup. I thought all the actresses played there parts very well including the male actors. The movie could have been a bit darker with more monsters maybe that will happen in the sequal. Some of the character's parts were to small but that can be fix in the sequal also. Monster High is a fun ride that the whole family can enjoy so go get your popcorn, drinks, candy, and have a spooky magical musical time with your family & friends.

I quite literally have zero issues with this movie. The main characters were adorable and had chemistry, the practical effects were fun, and the dance sequences were very well choreographed. I enjoyed every minute of this, and hope they make more (especially with Ceci Balagot, they were so charming as Frankie!) I understand why people are frustrated with an adaptation of such a nostalgic series that doesn't follow the original lore to a T, but I promise if you put all your expectations aside and try to appreciate it for what it is you will enjoy it. It has the same charm and humor and catchy songs as a movie like Boo York, and I'm so excited to see Monster High be revamped for a new generation of weird kids.

The only but critical minus is origin Clawdeen - why oh why she is half human here?? She is not! Hyde was half human! Wanted concept about humamonstafobia and solving it in one heroic jest - go with the origin person who you can work with! But no. And why no is the reason this movie fails the own choosing concept and fail itself big time. Sorry I want rate it higher for every else good stuff in movie but that only fail ruined it for good.
As a dork who loves silly fantasy-high school musicals, this this was a fun way to veg out at the end of a long day! The songs were catchy, and you could tell the actors were having fun with their roles.
I will note I know nothing about this franchise and just happened to come across the movie on the hotel's tv. Not sure what fans of Monster High universe will think, but as a total newbie the characters were fun, especially Frankie. Loved seeing the inclusion of non/binary characters too.
Recommend for a fun, Halloween movie for those who love the spooky season but can't handle actually horror/terror movies.

It was my first time watching the movie. I had only scene trailers of it. It blew me away. " In a good way". To me it was a great movie and I would watch it again. The message is to be yourself. I loved all the characters in the movie. My favorite five were Clawdeen Wolf, Frankie Stein, Draculuara, Cleo DeNile, Deuce Gorgon, and Heath Burns. I have a few others that I liked: Lagoona, Abby Bominable, and Ghoulia Yelps. I love the friendship that have bonded. Some of the characters aren't so different from each other. They have great personalities. If I got to choose which character to be it would be Clawdeem Wolf.

Everyone on here is giving it negative reviews because they "didn't grow up with it" but as someone who grew up with the original first generation, I absolutely loved this movie and enjoyed it so much. I personally loved all the new personalities the characters were given as well as the new character designs and outfits. I think people really need to set their own bias aside to really enjoy the movie. Sure the effects are a bit iffy but keep in mind it's a Nickelodeon movie and targeted towards kids, if you don't like it then it's because you are not the target audience. Anyways, love the reboot and enjoyed the movie, so excited for the second one.

I know that a lot of people prefer G1 of Monster High and that they did not like this movie, but I found it super interesting, entertaining and it made me love Monster High again as I did when I was little.
I don't know why people are still so clinging to reviving G1 when it's practically impossible, this is more adapted to our world and that's something that makes it more unique.
It's definitely another universe different from that of the G1 and I loved being able to see my main ghouls in live action, It's really good and has a good story, also I really loved the outfits ♥
I've seen this movie 10 times already and I will keep watching it over and over again uwu.

Great movies for kids! Good musical that keeps them glued. Colorful and fun. I don't get all the bad reviews! It's a kid movie. Sadly it's probably adults rating it based off their opinion when it's obviously made for kids. My daughter loves zombies, which this looks similar to it. She was engaged the whole time. I watched a little of it and I think it looks eye catching because of the colors and fun costumes. Overall I think you should give it a chance and realize it's not a movie intended for adults and more for the child audience. Or parents like myself that has a open mind and is happy to see their child enjoy it.
I have three little girls who have always loved monster high but they also love descendants and Zombies from the Disney channel so if you're looking a for cute movie that has both of this qualities in one this is one for your family. Obviously it's a movie for kids so yea it's cheesy buts nothing is worth more than seeing my kids be so excited and so happy to watch. This is yet another movie that will be played quite a bit in my house. That's when you know the movie has reached its audience. A lot of people who grew up with monster high are expecting too much. It they forget that this is a movie for kids, not them any more.

I can say this film is one of the best musicals I've ever seen.
Script: the film's story is largely based on the drawings, following a rule that was great for the film, being a live-action Monster High it was in the right direction
Filming Quality: incredible, capturing scenes with the camera the environments and filming quality is very good, and the graphic effects were really good Message: the important message of being accepted despite your differences, in the film leaves this, where even the main character has her doubts about herself in relation to being enough to stay at school, showing that sometimes a person who can Having a different behavior or being different does not mean being less than anyone else
Actors: The actors are very good and the entire cast is perfect at all times, Joshua Bassett Appearing in the film was really cool, he's a great actor and sings very well, we can't help but say about Mia Harris who was incredible the whole time and is very beautiful and has great talent in music, Nayah Damasen and Ceci Balagot too, the Ceci Balagot who previously participated in Disney in (girl meets the world, that's what they call it here in Brazil)
Music: Simply perfect, all the music is good to listen to, the film is not tiring, nor is it too fast, it is at the right time from beginning to end, especially the music when Clawdeen Wolf is going through the portal to school is perfect
A good film to watch and has a very interesting script.
