It's not an awful show, but could have been better.

The show had decent momentum throughout the first season and during the beginning of the 2nd season when Selma Blair was still on the show but seriously lost it's way for a while after she left the show.

Yes, it's yet another show where Charlie Sheen's character is a serial womanizer and most of the other characters around him constantly make questionable choices. If you saw Two and a Half Men you know what to expect here.

Charlie's ex-wife and his daughter basically disappear part of the way through the 2nd season which was a shame. Having them around was part of what helped to tone down Charlie a little and helped give his character some much needed grounding. Once Selma Blair left the show Charlie Goodson was basically replaced by an unhinged Charlie Harper throughout the rest of the series.

If this show had been on a conventional network it probably wouldn't have made it to 50 episodes. Especially considering Charlie Sheen's off-screen antics with regards to Selma Blair. It's worth watching once now if you're a big fan of Charlie Sheen or anyone else on the show or if you need something for background noise.

Bland Management

After the 10 or so reviews from F/X it might be time to get real.

The review cannot ignore Charlie Sheen, his past and his past roles. If you had any expectations prior to the show they will be greatly dismissed. Interesting enough the show is a typical sitcom with a very average cast and extremely average writing. To my astonishment the show could run on any major network, not inappropriate words, no inappropriate behavior. That can be good or bad, make up your own mind about that.

The show is explained in one sentence, Charlie is a therapist and is trying to help a group of people to get over their anger issues. While this could be hilarious but it is not.

They have caught themselves in a net of professional terms that nobody can follow and Charlie Sheen is now the one people react to, he used to be the one who reacts in short sentences towards others. He talks too fast his voice is too dark and the laugh track in the background is making no sense.

I give this 5 Stars for the many funny hours i had watching Charlie Sheen, this show is a complete failure in writing and casting. Sorry Mr Sheen, you had the lead in a show that was manufactured around you, you screwed it up, now you are stuck with this mediocre show.

The TWO and a half MEN nostalgia

Ah! I love a good sitcom once in a while. All you see is these intense shows on television. Not many sitcoms these days, with the exception of The Big Bang Theory. But another sitcom, that too starring Charlie Sheen, who according to me is the best thing ever happened to sitcoms in the 21st Century,is both a welcome and a refreshing change.

After Two and A Half Men, Charlie sheen returns to screen as Charlie Goodson the quirky,easy-going therapist-cum-playboy who has anger issues of his own in Anger Management. There are almost all the ingredients of a typical Charlie Sheen sitcom-a dysfunctional family,a million dollar home, dozens of hot and dumb chicks, and a bunch of weird guys thrown in,finally, dirty humor.

The entire show rests on Charlie Sheen himself. Most of the other characters are quite weak and fail to impress. The jokes are good,in bits and pieces.

All in all,the show could be much better. Having said that,is Charlie Goodson as good as Charlie Harper, yes. But can Anger Management be as good as Two and a half Men,that, only time can tell.

Entertaining. But....

A nice chilled out comedy. Like a go to series for the people who were disappointed with Sheen not being in 2 and a half men until the end.

But the music or whatever it is between scenes is actually really annoying. I mean it winds me up. Too loud and irrelevant. I havent done series 2 yet but i really hope its not on it. I actually feel sad thinking about it.

Not the best come back for Charlie Sheen.... Sadly !

I was eagerly awaiting for the much anticipated release of this sitcom for months. Not so happy after all. The much beloved Charlie of Two and Half Men is trying, everyone agrees. But it does not work out the Anger Management way. It looked like Charlie wanted more than funny episode to keep himself afloat. Sadly, the show did not even make me smile all the way through. I think there was just one scene which looked funny and the rest goes without laughs. The audience were paid to laugh, and i think that was the best part of the show for the producers. On a whole, the show needs more than creativity if they plan to keep it going. They need more laughs. They need more catchy characters. They need more funny one liners. They need more story. They need more character development. All in all, they need more LUCK. Good LUCK Charlie.

Watchable, but redundant

Sitcom about group therapy for anger control. Charlie Sheen almost reprises his role from "Two and a Half Men," and the rest of the cast, though not bad, fails to keep up with him. It's not boring, but it's unoriginal and unneeded and drowns in mediocrity. No wonder it was canceled after only two seasons.

No Two And A Half Men, where there could be anger issues here

I've watched a few episodes of Anger Management, and my oh my, does it make you miss Sheen in Two And A Half Men. I never watched the pilot for this, where I've just become aware than Sheen's character's daughter in this has OCD, something I've had for years, where I'd like to see those particular episodes. Again the writer strangely don't bother to give Sheen's character, a different name. I must say his character here, draws familiarities to Sheen's character in Two And A Half Men, one of them too being, he sits with his left leg over his right. You know how hard that is? He plays a divorced father, ex baseballer, where a mishap on the field, forced him into another area, that of an Anger Management counceller, who's now shacked up with hottie Selma Blair, and god she looks sexy in night lingerie. She's never looked hotter. As one of the members of the group, it was a surprise to see it played by Derrick Richardson, who almost ceases to exist here in his role here, as though he's still playing that Hostel character. Is that Northern Exposure's Barry Corbin as the bald guy, cause he's great, while Shawnee Smith, who always delivers in any role, does it solid, as Charlie's ex. Not related to the Jack Nicholson movie, though there are times through this, you wish you were watching that, AM just isn't funny enough to earn comedy status. It just doesn't cut it, though it still manages to be darn entertaining, where if you're a Sheen fan, it helps. May'be I'm comparing it too much to Two And A Half Men, as the laugh quota of that show was so high. But on the other side of the coin, it's the shows premise, which like Sheen, grabs our attention, as anger is a hell of an issue, where we can draw on our own experiences. There has been those types who have really got us mad. Martin Sheen I must say, is better here, than in a Two And A Half Men, as one of the most annoying and smuggest fathers you'll ever see.
