What in the world is going on?! As it currently stands this film has 7.5 on IMDb. Did I see the same movie as the rest of you? Or has ai bots taken over this site?

Companion is not good. It doesn't know what it wants to be. Its writing is cheesy and predictable. Performances are nothin to write home about! It plays with re-occurring themes that I feel I've seen in every other "ai" movie over the past decade, and it surely didn't feel creative enough to stand out in any way.

Dare I say even in terms of 'entertainment' factor it was lacking. At times I felt the film was droning on (which is a crazy thing to say about an hour and a half long thriller).

I saw it with my partner and she had more of an entertaining time... because she didn't watch the trailer. It's a shame that trailers these days dont just sell you on buying a movie ticket but they reveal every twist and turn about the film. Too much was revealed there, where I knew exactly where it was going to end up. No surprises if you've dared to look at the movie poster.

MAYBE this movie would be more entertaining if you walked in blind, but even then you would have to ignore the poor writing and cheesy performances.
