Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad

After having hit the screens on 12th July, the first Punjabi movie from PTC Motion pictures is getting fantastic reviews from across the media and public. The shows are going house full and there is an increase in the Fan following of Roshan prince the lead actor and everything else related to the movie like the Facebook fan page.

Appreciation has been pouring in from all quarters and the public at large seem to have got a welcome break from the usual Punjabi movie stuff that they have been treated to all these years.

The state of things is such that the distributors have had to increase the no of screens across Punjab looking at the over whelming response. The films success has pushed 37 more shows across Punjab. This includes all major cities like Ludiana, Bhatinda, Amritsar and Chandigarh and others. No doubt there was extensive promotion done by PTC across north India and the expectations had built up due to that, but the response from public during this week seems to be stamping the fact that their expectations have been met.

The story is about Jassi who wants to become a Star but doesn't have money to make a film. The story seems on paper as the usual stuff with Jassi trying all sorts of shortcuts to earn money and gets into trouble frequently. There is also a Love triangle. However what sets this movie apart is the way it has been directed and produced. Credit must also go to the Casting team to have picked up a strong Support cast apart from selecting the right heroines with the hero Roshan prince.

The movie at times lacks pace but more than makes up with all the good things. Music is superb. It is a difficult choice between calling Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad a Romantic Musical or a Comedy. One can also safely put it as a Family drama with not a single double meaning or vulgar dialogue. Kudos to the scriptwriter for managing to evoke humor without using any foul language, which has become common practice in Punjabi cinema.

The movie is Directed by Rimpy Prince and is Presented by PTC Motion pictures and the success of this film is likely to bring in a major change in the way Punjabi movies are made in future.

The entire cast and crew have done a fantastic job, music is good, all stars have done justice to their roles specially the female leads and Roshan Prince, The support roles especially B.N Sharma have done a marvelous job to carry the entire length of the movie.

The music in the movie done by Jassi singh is upto the taste of the audience. Songs like Dil de varke and Putt Sardara de are fantastic. Although the songs come abruptly at times, the music overall is likable.

The length of the movie is quite good any more time and it could have become a drag. The directors job has been well done by Rimpy Prince duo.

So all in all a good family oriented Punjabi movie.

The first thing that needs to be said about this movie is that it has an original storyline, it is not a poorly made remake of some Bollywood or Southern movie and taking into consideration that today, most of the Punjabi movies are using the tried and tested concept, Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad provides a refreshing change.

Although it is a romantic comedy, the directors have provided elements of seriousness in the movie as well.

If you are looking for some stomach aching laughter with some romance and hint of seriousness, then we highly recommend Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad, the movie is funny, has good songs and a smooth storyline.

I specially logged in to write a review about this movie. To be honest, I was not expecting anything from this movie, but being a punjabi, I thought lets give it a try for time pass. I was not expecting this. The movie is good, funny and has a great feel to it. Characters are not in the usual OVERACTING mode as they do in most punjabi flicks. Acting is really really good. I was waiting for them to be cheesy but they weren't. I have only one complaint, the item song. Japji Khaira is looking so astonishing in punjabi suits throughout the movie but this song was horrendously shot. Apart from that the movie is 10/10. I mean its not the same usual comedians (BHalla, Ghuggi etc )carrying the movie using the word "SALA" too much. Go watch it with your family. Have fun.

The most awaited Punjabi movie of this season finally hit the theaters on 12 July 2013, with all the hype that was created for this movie, we can say that this movie has definitely done justice to it, it is said that it is'nt bragging if you can back it up, and Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad has indeed backed the hype.

The debut movie presented by PTC Motion Pictures is a Romantic Comedy and takes us into the life of Jassi (Roshan Prince) who wants to become a successful actor so that he can marry the woman he loves (Roop), however, in order to taste success quickly, he takes the path of lies and deceptions and lies to get easy money, during one such instance he breaks the marriage of Geet and now he is forced by the village community to marry her, now he is with two women in his life what will he do next? that is where all the Gadbad is and it is a funny Gadbad!

The directors of this movie, Rimpy-Prince have done a splendid job directing this movie, amidst all what is happening in the movie, the main plot is never lost. Being only the second movie that they have directed, they show excellence of seasoned directors, appreciation is also due to the script-writer, who has created an interesting script through the whole movie could materialize. Roshan Prince shows great promise by the way that he plays the role of Jassi, Roshan is such a great actor that it seems that he is'nt acting at all, such a natural actor is rare to find indeed. Great work done by B.N Sharma and Rana Ranbir as well, they provide great support to Roshan Prince and the chemistry that the trio share is amazing, in fact, it is this chemistry that promises to make Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad one of the best comedy Punjabi movies ever. The leading ladies, BhanuShree Mehra and Japji Khaira provide colors to the film, Japji Plays "Geet" and is very convincing when she plays a typical Punjabi girl. BhanuShree Mehra debuts in Pollywood with Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad and already shows skills of a seasoned Punjabi actress.

The Review. Overall, Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad is a refreshing and original Punjabi movie which definitely carves the path for future Punjabi movies, an all out comedy with great work done by the actors. It can be said that Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad is one movie that you should watch with your family.
