The Wolf & The Lamb

In a nutshell, the episode contains: lots of Scottish accents, a royal visit to Edinburg, multiple scenes of men having sex with men, a couple of girl-girl kisses, a wedding, a murder, another bloody violent scene, and at least one C-bomb thrown out.

Unfortunately, and despite all of the above, I actually found "The Wolf & The Lamb" to be the weakest episode so far. There were a few good ideas thrown up, but the script and acting didn't really pay them off.

Moving a lot of events to Edinburgh at least gave this episode a point of difference.

Julianne Moore continues to be at her brilliant scheming best. She is definitely the best part of "Mary & George"

The final of this episode seems real forced. And the battle for Francine not the most inspired crafted. The role of George becomes, episode by episode, a sort of straitjacket for Nicholas Galitzine. And, indeed, Julianne Moore remains the engine of series.

The main question is if Tony Curran can be exactly James I. Sure, sentimental, pressure of past, some , not so surprising, signs of paranoia , past great love and the fair gesture in his memory but , only for look, he can be each Stuart . And the king is more complex than a spoiled lover.

The role of Lady Hutton and Francis Bacon are the good points of episode.
