The boat used for filming is the decommissioned Staten Island Ferry that was purchased in 2022 by Il Saturday Night Live (1975) players Colin Jost and Pete Davidson.
There are many references to songs from other Disney movies in the lines spoken by the characters.
Examples are, one of the party girls saying "A whole New World" ( Aladdin) and one of the crew members saying "Be My Guest" (Beauty and the Beast).

The five women celebrating one's birthday are all dressed similarly to Disney Princesses while sharing slightly altered versions of that Princess's name. In the scene where they're introduced, from first to last coming up the escalator: Cinderella (Cindi), Ariel/Little Mermaid (Ariana), Jasmine/Aladdin (Jazzy), Belle/Beauty and the Beast (Bella), and Aurora/Sleeping Beauty (Rory).
There are Disney Easter eggs throughout. The most visually obvious are the five Princesses, but a lot of the dialogue includes titles or quotes from various Disney movies, songs, and park rides.
Pete (the deckhand) is named after Pete, the Captain from the original Steamboat Willie cartoon.
