Agreeable and engaging adventure that does not overstay it's welcome.
A bit all over the place thematically but the story more or less holds up and the humor is good too.
You have to meet it half way a lot but if this is where Masameer as a franchise leaves us, it leaves us in a much better place than that stupid movie.
It's cool to see them as kids but I'm not sure how much it was really necessary for this plot. I suppose it's a meditation on how we try to do what's right but kids and adults alike are liable to go about it in a misguided way.
They try to retcon that these characters knew each other as kids even though the web series tells us otherwise.

The graphics are iconic, the quality is also iconic, and the realism is legendary. In that respect, honestly, 10/10. They were creative in general. The negatives are the speed of the characters' speech, which made me lower the rating. I mean, why do the characters speak so quickly? We want to listen and understand. Secondly, why is music present in some of the dialogues? Lower the volume a bit. We want to understand and hear.
The movie has no ads or commercials, and no one talked about it except rarely, nor did we see it widely spread, even though I love the Masameer series in general and I look forward to everything they release. We didn't see many commercials about it. The rating is 7/10, it deserves it.

This is a Saudi Arabian animated film, as an extension of the Masameer series. Still, this works wonders as an isolated movie on its own, as the characters are relatively well introduced without much baggage.
The plot is three children (one of them is a dog...) who, upon entering middle school, get lectured that they're going to hell for trivial things, and try to be good samaritans, only for things to get even worse. It's a comedy film, and said comedy is both a good critique of the conservative Arabic society as well as exceptionally dark at times. So there's both excellent satire and dark laughs.
The animation is reasonably good. The main character designs are a bit off putting, but luckily this is something mostly exclusive to them.
A solid recommendation.

I had high expectations for Masameer Junior, but unfortunately, it turned out to be far below average. The humor felt forced and uninspired, and the storyline lacked depth and engagement. It completely missed the clever, satirical edge that made the original Masameer series so enjoyable. Characters felt flat, the pacing was off, and the jokes often fell flat or felt too childish without substance. The animation quality was decent, but even that couldn't save the show from feeling like a rushed production. It's truly disappointing to see such a drop in overall quality from a franchise that once had so much potential. I genuinely expected much more. This was a missed opportunity to create something memorable for younger audiences while maintaining the charm that longtime fans appreciated.
Honestly, the film was disappointing. I started watching it with excitement and high hopes, but what I got was a messy, repetitive story that lacked any real impact. The plot had no logical flow - every scene felt disconnected, as if random clips were stitched together without a clear purpose.
The topics they tackled, like extremism and terrorism, have been overused and are no longer engaging. These themes have been explored before - and in better ways. I was hoping for something fresh and creative, but the film just recycled old ideas without adding anything meaningful.
As for the comedy, it was the weakest part. In one scene, the character Tarad says to a woman, "You're a maid and a woman," as if it's an insult meant to be funny. That kind of humor is not only outdated, but also offensive. Making jokes at the expense of women is not comedy - it's lazy writing and shows a lack of awareness and respect.
Overall, the film fell flat. It lacked strong content, thoughtful humor, and a coherent storyline. I really hoped for something better - something that respects the viewer's intelligence and brings a fresh perspective. Sadly, this wasn't it.
