  • Original and entertaining.

Greetings from the other side. I didn't know anything about this show, other then Allan Tudyk was the main character, and that was enough. Great actor!

This show is awesome so far! Allan Tudyk is a big part of what makes this show so good, but the others do a fine job as well. Much of the humor from him is dry and observational. He plays an alien that has crashed, and kills the first person it finds, and assumes his life. His initial goal was to kill all humans, but the longer he stays on Earth and lives amongst them, his views change.

I've only seen the first few episodes, but I'm definitely hooked. Allan is hilarious! I love the little war he has going with this young boy, who is the only person that can see his true form.

I highly recommend this series, at least based upon what I've watched so far. I will update this review after viewing all seasons.

  • Not a very good episode

Greetings from the other side. All women with television shows in the 60's and 70's had to do an episode in a beauty pageant, and an episode in a jail, and on occasion, go undercover as a prostitute.

Lindsay Wagner was definitely pretty enough for a beauty pageant, but she definitely can't sing. I don't want to be mean, but it was difficult to listen to.

The premise was ridiculous. It was suppose to be about a special micro chip that wss stolen, so I'm not sure how the beauty show entered into it. Using her bionics to open a window was funny.

Anyway, it's an average show. Even the swimsuit portion sucked because they had her wear a one-piece, when a two-piece would have been much sexier. After all, her beauty was part of what made the show.

  • Boring. Hard to not fall asleep.

    Greetings from the other side.

I knew going in, that this was not very good, but it was even worse than I heard.

It contained a bunch of "B" superheros, more like "side kicks". Why would anyone make a movie with a bunch of sidekick?

I'm about 3/4 into the movie and I'm writing this review because I'm bored out of my mind. Hardly anything has happened. Very little action and the humor isn't funny. They named this new superhero "Bob" because they thought that would be funny.

That new Black widow chick is annoying as hell. I can't understand her half the time. You can't get tired of watching a 5'3 tall chick that weighs 110 pounds soaking wet, beat up 10 guards at once. She does that near the start of the movie. I laughed so hard.

I'm not sure what else to say. I can't recommend this movie at all. It may be the worst Marvel sidekick movie yet.

  • Slow to start, but then pretty good.

Greetings from the other side. I almost didn't watch this movie because of the very low ratings, but you can't always trust those.

It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it's definitely better than what most have voted here.

I think what happen is that many gave up after 10-15 minutes, as I almost did. I only continued because a reviewer here mentioned they liked the movie, except for the slow start. He was right.

Other than the slow beginning, it was a decent movie. However, they could have punched it up a little. This movie could have been so much better, and it could have been done without adding much money.

It couldn't have cost much to make, but it was still pretty good, other than what I mentioned, but I can't understand why they didn't beef it up a little. I would have added a little more action. Her powers are cheap to film, so I don't understand why they didn't add some more fighting or whatever.

Anyways, I recommend this, just remember it's slow at the start.

  • Watchable, but not great.

Greetings from the other side. As mentioned, this series is watchable, but nothing special. It's good for killing time.

It was great seeing Brendan Fraser again, as well as Tom Welling. Brendan was a large part of making this watchable. Welling was strange to watch. He seemed like a robot, but Military speak is very robotic, so maybe that's part it.

There were many scenes ripped from other movies, even John Wick (selecting weapons like a dinner menu). Many obvious things, like watching a girl and guy spar. You just know the girl will win, and she does. However, in the real world, he would have crushed her. I'm so tired of seeing this stuff.

The use of flashbacks is very annoying, and serves absolutely no purpose. It's like the use flashbacks because they think it's cool, or they seen it used properly on another show, and they wanted to use it now as well.

Near the end of episode 6, there are around a dozen bad guys shooting down at Tom Welling's character with machine guns, and nobody hits him. Come on guys! They made storm troopers look like elite snipers, that's how bad it looked.

Anyways, after watching 6 episodes, I think this show is good for killing time, just don't expect too much.

  • Watchable but not very good.

Greetings from the other side. I believe that Fast 5 was their best movie, and since then, each new movie becomes worse.

However, I watch this series because I enjoy the fun action scenes, and I like the cast of characters.

If you think back to the first movie, these guys were basically just street racers that were also thieves. At some point, they all recieved gifts from the gods. They all suddenly became master-level fighters and Tej became a genius computer hacker. It's funny that the one women in this movie started talking some fancy car talk, and when Tej looked at her, she says "Yeah, I know stuff now". She received the same instant upgrades the others did, hehe.

I have liked Jason Mamoa since Stargate Atlantis, but I hated his performance in this movie. It's hard to make a guy appear scary when he acts all "Light in the loafers". He should have played it straight. He's a big menacing dude, and looks intimidating as hell, but not when he talks like a teenage girl.

They also need to stop bringing dead people back to life. They already have insane plot armor, so if death means nothing, then why watch the movie?

Finally, we all know they are a "Family", since we've been told this over 100 times by now, so dial that back. Oh, and try to keep the stunts within the realm of possibility. It's ok to have a one in a million chance to accomplish the stunts, but please stop the impossible ones.

Other then that, turn off the brain and enjoy the crazy action.

  • Loving this show

Greetings from the other side. Many people love everything Taylor Sheridan does, but I only care for about half of his shows. I liked Yellowstone for the first 3 or 4 seasons, The Mayor of Kingstown, Telsa King, and now this show as well.

Billy Bob Thorton totally makes this show. The other actors are good, but Billy Bob is great. There is something hypnotic about his southern drawl and speech patterns.

The writing is terrific. I don't care that they sexualize a pretend 17 year old. Trust me, there are 17 year old girls out there that sexualize themselves. Just go on youtube.

It's strange that nobody would care if it was a 17 year old boy being sexualized.

However, that's not what makes this show great. It's the writing and acting that makes this show so good. I love the realism and they show just how dangerous working the patch can be. They show injuries and even death.

There is even a side story about the drug trade in that area, which is also very dangerous.

I highly recommend this show, regardless of wheather you are a fan of Sheridens or not.

  • Could have been so much better.

Greetings from the other side. Blue Beetle had many good things going for it. The suit was very cool, the effects were great most of the time, and there was some family humor. The last one was both good and bad at times. I guess there wasn't as much good as I thought, but the suit was so cool!

The bad. Well, if I heard the word "Mexican" one more time, I would have screamed. As Morgan freeman and myself have said "If you want to stop racism, stop talking about it". Are news people in Mexico going to use the term "Mexican boy"? No, it would just be "boy", or "young boy". The uncle's truck horn playing La Cocarotcha was a but much as well.

Most of the family stuff should have been cut, in my opinion. Grandma using a Vulcan machine gun was funny, but taking her into battle was silly. George Lopez as the crazy uncle was a bit much as well.

Susan Sarandon playing the evil CEO of a billion dollar company was miscast. She went WAY over the top, like telling her troops to aim for his family instead of the kid in the armor. She basically smiled when people got hurt or died. We get it, you're evil.

The story was just terrible. What's up with the current writers in Hollywood? Are they completely out of talent? Is that why we are getting so many remakes?

If they would have played this more seriously , and spent more time revising and polishing that script, this would have been an awesome movie.

That Beetle suit was so cool! Having living armor that can create anything you can imagine is so very cool. They could have done many more amazing scenes with that. I also loved the idea of the suit taking over for you, for training, or if you get knocked unconscience, or when you need to move/react faster than a human can.

Instead we get another diverse movie of the week. Anyway, the movie is still watchable, (for the suit scenes) but that's all.

  • Can I do it..can I do it..get through the movie.

Greetings from the other side. This is an early Chuck Norris movie, and the fight scences are good, which is what we want from him.

The main issue I and others had with this movie was the constant, annoying internal monalog. My god it's annoying. It's a whisper with an echo. The one line I remembered from my childhood was Chuck's internal voice saying "Can I do it...can I do it...kill my brother...kill my brother".

It was early days for Chuck, so I cut him a bit of slack. The main thing is that the fight scenes are good, and they are, especially near the end when he kicks many butts.

There's a reason that people are afraid of Chuck Norris's beard, he earned that reputation. The thing I didn't like about Chuck was that he always played the goodie goodie. He was too good, too perfect. It would have been better if he had a flaw, like a bad temper, and went too far at times.

It's still worth watching, but don't expect much.

  • Awkwafina is the big flaw in this movie

    Greetings from the other side.

I enjoyed this movie, other than Awkwafina. I hated every second she was on screen. I don't understand how she gets work, since she has no talent, and isn't funny.

The rest of the film was enjoyable. Refield was funny and having him gain power by eating bugs was great. I would have liked more of Cage in the movie, but it was fine.

I really didn't expect much from this film, considering Dracula and vampires have been done to death, even in comedy. However, they have actually made something different here.

Focusing more on Refield was a good thing. I recommend this movie. It's not perfect, especially with the annoying Awkwafina in it, but it's perfect for killing some time.

  • They always cancel good shows like this, why?

Greetings from the other side. I just renewed Netflix after a couple years without, and this show caught my eye. It didn't take long before I realized how fresh and original this series is.

There is a wonderful cast, and there are so many stories they can tell here. It's basically a retelling of the old gods but how they would act in modern times.

I'm only a couple episodes in and I find out that Netflix isn't going to renew this show. I just don't understand how they can constantly renew the crap shows and cancel the good ones. They pretty much have a perfect record. No wonder they have issues making money. Idiots.

Anyways, at least we have 8 episodes to watch. Maybe they will change their minds if enough people make a fuss.

  • It was okay, nothing special.

Greetings from the other side. For a so-called action movie, there wasn't much action. This was more of a drama-comedy.

Considering he is a hitman, there is almost no action. I found it very slow at times. Usually when there was a long stretch of drama without any of the comedy bits

The cast is good, and there really is some good funny bits in this movie. Tea Leoni and Ben Kingsley make for a good couple despite the age difference. In the movie they are both broken, and being together, they find help for their loneliness and troubles.

I was enjoying the movie at first, but then it became boring in sections. Too much talking and drama crap. It picked up again at the end, which was predictable.

Anyways, this is still a worth while film to watch once.

  • It will kill 90 minutes

Greetings from the other side. This could have been a much better movie if the main character wasn't a coward. He screams like a little girl several times. He also runs away instead of helping 1 of 3 survivors, the only fighter, a marine.

He also runs from one trap to another constantly, and it gets boring. It's like the entire planet is trying to kill him.

They also put in stupid jokes like naming the planet, and other bits that are not funny. He also has a gun at one point and we never see it again. What happen to it?

They give him a tiny bit of goo to fix holes in the suit, but after fixing 2 little holes, it runs out? Damn, they are stingy.

The movie is watchable but could have been much better. Such a waste. There are still good bits, and it killed 90 minutes for me.

  • Nothing special

Greetings from the other side. After watching the first two episodes that dropped, I found this show kinda boring.

Yes, he gives away a ton of cash, which is cool, but too many people get eliminated through no fault of their own. Some are asked to sacrifice themselves, while others are booted because someone in their row is greedy and hits a button.

It's not a "game" if you can get booted because of something that someone else has done. Imagine going through a bunch of stuff, and you get sent home because someone in your row hit a button that gives them 100k? That would tick me off.

The games are nothing special, like don't let a ball hit the floor.

Anyways, the only thing I liked was the amount of money he gives gives away. I was getting tired of him saying Five Million Dollars! Oh, I also see no use for his 5 friends either. The one dude was annoying as hell. Fake laughing, and saying "No way!" Or "What's happening!".

  • It's ok, but nothing more.

    Greetings from the other side.

This is a watchable movie, but like many others these days, you need to shut off your brain.

It has a couple good actors, but the script is ridiculous.

    Some things that bothered me:
    • TSA agent can just leave his post, and nobody notices?

    • The bathroom is always empty, when it's Christmas?

    • A gun is fired and nobody hears?

    • Dude swapped his friends coffee with an alcohol version, and the boss heads over to smell his coffee a minute later, why? They perp-walk the guy out and fire him without looking into it, or testing him?

    • No matter where his girlfriend is, the sniper always has a perfect line of site.

Anyways It's still an okay movie, but as you can see, there are some hard to believe issues.

  • Good with some flaws

    Greetings from the other side.

This show had many good qualities. The production value was good, the acting was good, and the comedic bits were funny.

However, the big problem I had with the show was the main lead. It was like he didn't have any CIA training at all. Yes, he is a lawyer, but if it's with the CIA and they are going to send him into dangerous situations, he must have had basic training of some type. Yet, he seems completely stupid the entire time. Additionally, he doesn't seem to learn from past experience. He seems just as dumb in episode 8 as he did in the first.

Second, I don't understand all the rap music in this show. It doesn't fit, yet someone there love rap music, because there is a ton of it.

Why is he by himself? Most of these missions he is sent on would require a partner. One with more experience to show him the ropes. Instead, they send a completely green agent into the meat grinder, which is very hard to believe.

Finally, I don't buy the whole "sabotage everyone" mantality at the CIA. That is very hard to believe as well. You won't have a very effective office if everyone is screwing over everyone else.

Anyways, I still found this show very watchable. Yes, there were thing I didn't like, but most shows have issues. This was still fun to watch. Looking forward to season 2 next month.

  • Great movie

    Greetings from the other side.

This is a different kind of movie. It's a rom-com with violent tendencies.

The script is great, and moves along at a fast pace. The cast is perfect.

Sam Rockwell channels his Billy the Kid from The Green Mile, as the hitman with the heart of gold. He play a perfect "lovable crazy guy" in this film.

Anna Kendrick plays the adorable crazy chick to perfection. This is almost her default, playing adorable/whacky. She also has good chemistry with Sam Rockwell.

Tim Roth is perfect as the CIA hitman / ex-partner of Sam Rockwell. His cool demeanor and intelligence work well here.

RZA is only seen a little near the last part of the movie, but his Elmer Fudd shotgun line is funny. He does well with the role he is given.

Anyway, I highly recommend this movie. I've watched it several times, and still find it funny. This is due to the very tight script, with no boring parts.

  • 4 stories that are too long

    Greetings from the other side.

This series is the Thai version of Black Mirror. Short stories with a sci-fi twist. There are four stories here, and each are interesting.

However, my big issue with them, is that they were way too long. They dragged it out so much that it was very boring in parts.

The special effects were top notch, and the stories leave you thinking about them. There are usually good and bad reasons for just about every idea.

Again, the stories are just too long. They are almost full length movies, and that causes many boring sections.

In the future, I would recommend making each episode 30 or 40 minutes tops, and add more episodes.

Oh, and these are dubbed, but I didn't notice after a time.

Anyways, I enjoyed the episodes, but felt they were too long for my taste.

  • Great until the last 30 minutes or so.

    Greetings from the other side.

I had no idea what to expect from this movie, other then seeing Demi Moore's name. It didn't take long before I was totally sucked in.

This movie was something different, and it was so good, at least until then end. With so many prequels, sequels, and reboots, it was nice to see something new. It had elements of other stories, but the idea here was new, and entertaining.

Demi Moore did an excellent job here, making her character real. We empathize with her character.

Now, the downside is, as I mentioned, the last half hour or so. They had a great idea, but went too far with it. I can't understand why they chose to end it this way, but it was a bad decision. As others have pointed out, it went bad, then stupid at the very end.

Anyways, this is still a good movie. I highly recommend watching it. However, I think you will agree (as most do) that they should have done the ending differently. It could have been even better if they did.

  • Barely watchable.

    Greetings from the other side.

This movie had some great actors, and they were all wasted because of a terrible script.

The good consisted of: various beautiful locations around the world, and a few good fight/chase scenes. That's about it.

The bad: Mark Walberg and Haley Berry had ZERO chemistry together. It was like watching brother and sister.

The script was bad. It didn't have any heart. It was all very "paint by numbers". I didn't feel anything for anyone. I had no vested interest and thus became bored.

They had these wonderful actors and did nothing with them. J. K. Simmons made the most of his limited screen time. He's such a talent. I'd love to see him in his own movie.

Anyways, this was not a good movie. You could put it on as background noise while doing something else. It's watchable, but barely.
