He acted in William M. Hoffman's play, "As Is," at the Half Moon Theatre in London, England with George Costigan, Susannah Fellows, Ray Shell, Ursula Jones, and Graham Turner in the cast. Chris Bond was director.
In 1987, he was one of three actors (the others being Dermot Crowley and Sylvester McCoy) who performed in a screen test to play the Seventh Doctor in Doctor Who (1963), a role which eventually went to McCoy.
