Starting off her career with the award-winning multimedia company, Jim Sant Andrea Productions, Carol got her first feature gig as an illustrator on the feature film, Touch and Go (1986). Now as a noted production designer, art director and illustrator, Carol has more than 25 films under her belt including 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), Life Without Dick (2002), Prefontaine (1997), Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves! (1997), Beaches (1988), Pretty Woman (1990), Heat (1986), Backdraft (1991), Mr. Saturday Night (1992), Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995).

She was nominated for a production design award of excellence by her peers for her work on the pilot for Seven Days (1998). On the heels of 911, Carol teamed up with Sony to design virtual environments for interactive training for the U.S. Army. Carol's talent & artistic vision clearly raise the bar in the world of corporate theatre with such clients as American Express, TWA, Nissan, Volvo and IBM. Her family is no stranger to show business, her husband Bob Baranick is a former Disney Imagineer and noted master planner and theme park designer.. Her brother, Ira David Wood III, is creative director of Theatre In The Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. Carol's niece & nephew, are both actors: Ira David Wood IV and Evan Rachel Wood.
