Scarlett Ingrid Johansson was born on November 22, 1984 in Manhattan, New York City, New York. She is known for her role as "Piper Chapman" on the Netflix original comedy-drama series, Orange Is the New Black (2013) (2013-present), for which she won the 2013 Satellite Award for Best Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy, and was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Television Series Drama and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2014. Schilling was born on July 27, 1984 in Boston, Massachusetts. She is the daughter of Patricia (née Miller), an MIT administrator, and Robert J. Schilling, a former prosecutor. Jena Malone was born in Reno, Nevada, raised in Sparks, Nevada; two cities that have merged together over time, to Deborah Malone and Edward Berge. Her grandfather owned a casino, Karl's Silver Club, in Reno. She was raised by her mother and her mother's partner. Beginning as a child actress, and then stepping up to roles as a young adult, Malone's career path has been compared to that of Jodie Foster, herself a former child actress and who has co-starred with Malone in two movies. Also, in 1998, Malone appeared in a two-part episode of the critically acclaimed TV series Homicide: Life on the Street (1993). Contrary to what might usually be expected of a teenage actress, in this episode, Jena played the complex role of the perpetrator of a crime, which she portrayed with subtlety.

At age 15, Jena was legally emancipated and thus took direct control of her finances and her career. Paul Franklin Dano was born on 19 June 1984 in New York City, the son of Gladys (Pipp) and Paul Dano. He is of Rusyn, Slovenian/Czech, and Swedish descent. At an early age he was already appearing in community plays and by his early teens he got his first TV appearance on an episode of Smart Guy (1998). Dano's rise to stardom came in consecutive films that showcased his talents and made him an important name in the business: as Dwayne, a rebel teen who copes with his teen angst by refusing to speak to everyone in his family, only using of his cold expressions and a notepad in Little Miss Sunshine (2006), he was praised by critics and audiences, a role that earned him, among other awards, the Screen Actors Guild as Best Ensemble Cast. The following year, he appeared in a dual role as twin brothers Paul and Eli Sunday - the latter character, a devoted preacher, is more extensive and challenging than the mysterious Paul, in Paul Thomas Anderson critically acclaimed There Will Be Blood (2007). Rising star Luke Arnold is a graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He began his acting career with Australian television, staring in the series McLeod's Daughters, Rush, Rescue: Special Ops, City Homicide, and Steven Spielberg's The Pacific.

His first feature film role was the lead in Broken Hill, in which he had the opportunity to work with Academy Award winner Timothy Hutton, Spy Kids star Alexa Vega, and fellow Aussie Rhys Wakefield. Following Broken Hill, Arnold stared in "The Tunnel", a thriller set in the dark tunnels of the Australian subway system.

James Lewis Cartwright has won a Royal Television Society Award for Best Leading Actor for his performance as Johnny in BBC's production - Johnny Shakespeare. He has won the Scotsman Fringe First Award 2015 for his performance in one man play - Raz (play) which then transferred to Trafalgar Studios London in 2016. Jared Keeso is a Canadian actor, born in Listowel, Ontario, who is also a screenwriter, and producer.

He is best known for creating and starring in the very popular comedy series Letterkenny (2016-2023), which won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Comedy Series in 2017.

In 2022, following the tremendous cult success of Letterkenny, Keeso created a spin-off series focusing on the titular character of Shoresy (2022-present) which is also set and shot in Sudbury.

Amanda Leigh Moore was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, on April 10, 1984, to Stacy (Friedman), a former news reporter, and Don Moore, an airline pilot. During her childhood, her family moved to Orlando, Florida, where she was raised. She has Russian Jewish (from her maternal grandfather), English, Scottish, and Irish, ancestry.

After seeing the musical "Oklahoma!", she decided that she wanted to pursue a career in singing.
