After a series of successful comedy club performances, Floyd Mooney is presented with a potential opportunity by his agent Malcolm, but he soon finds the opportunity comes with a catch. As Floyd wrestles with his convictions against the need to provide for his son Trevor, his friend Ron surprises him with what may be an even bigger opportunity.

Fresh off the set of 'Molested!,' Malcolm pushes a reluctant Floyd to commit to his next project - a race-based prestige series, helmed by an eccentric director. Trevor takes a tour of an expensive private school, forcing Floyd to reconsider his sabbatical from acting; and Sadie comes clean about a relationship that started while Floyd was away.

Floyd's commitment to 'Angry Black' wavers after learning Sadie's new boyfriend has been cast as his co-star. Malcolm goes head-to-head with a sexy rival from his past as she attempts to poach his clients. And a chance fling with the network president's wife looms large over Floyd's fledging career - while Balls has a brush-in with love of his own.

Floyd and Balls are called upon to settle a creative dispute over Teddy's use of the N-word; Stu shares troubling news from the set of 'Molested!'; and Floyd receives an unwelcome invitation to a dinner party hosted by Peter and Amy, where secrets from the couple's philandering past threaten to resurface.

When their children's misbehavior sends Floyd, Sadie, Peter and Amy to the principal's office, it's Floyd, not Trevor, who lands in hot water. While Sadie worries about the punishing consequence this could have on Trevor's enrollment, Malcolm and Teddy unwittingly suffer the professional repercussions of Floyd's misdeeds.

A coked-out Teddy seeks Floyd's help in winning back the rights to 'Angry Black;' Malcolm sets up shop at Floyd and Balls' place while looking for new employment. Meanwhile, Amy's talent for negotiation gets tested when a confrontation with Peter turns violent and an unexpected opportunity presents itself to Floyd.

Floyd turns to Malcolm and Balls for advice after catching Robbie in a compromising position with a co-star. Sadie's patience with Floyd wears thin as an important music showcase for her approaches. Meanwhile, Kali, a pop star, takes an interest in both Sadie's music and in Floyd.

Floyd buries his pride and accepts a role in Kali's newest music video, directed by Teddy, to spend more time with the singer. Malcolm leverages his job as an agent to bag an ambitious backup dancer with big screen dreams. Meanwhile, Teddy and Floyd have a falling out as Balls battles the blues.

An incriminating video of Floyd makes its way around the internet, jeopardizing his relationship with Kali and igniting controversy in the black community. While Sadie responds with silence, Teddy extends an olive branch and offers Floyd a surprising refuge from the media hate-storm.

Life comes full-circle for Floyd as career opportunities rain down following the release of yet another viral video. While Floyd deliberates over which path is the best for him, Sadie entertains a weighty offer of her own and Balls takes a chance on love. Season finale.
