    Well worth a look

This is certainly one of the stranger short films I've recently watched. For one thing, unlike 99% of the short films out there, this one has recognizable Hollywood stars--Billy Bob Thornton and Mickey Jones. While Jones isn't a name you'll probably recall, you no doubt have seen him in dozens of TV shows (such as "Home Improvement"). For another, the plot is just totally weird--and I mean REALLLLY weird! Most of the short involves Thornton and Jones having a conversation that is completely bizarre considering they both are rough and tumble cowboys. Apparently Jones had heard something about his "inner child" and he now wondered if maybe he needed to get in touch with his lost youth. So, out of the blue, he begins skipping about like an idiot! The best part about all this is the dialog--it's really surreal and bizarre--something you really need to hear for yourself.

While I loved the acting and idea, I must say that the film ends on a real downer! While this film may not be for all tastes, it is funny and actually has a lot to say about masculinity and the gender roles we in which we are forced to conform.

    Amusing concept...

...and far from "pointless," if I can offer a demurer.

Part vignette, part "skit," it was a humorous, but ultimately dark look at a pair of late 19th Century cowboys with a late 20th Century sensibility.

The only thing I could fault with this short (12 minutes) film is that the end credits were almost two minutes of the running time!

Brilliant! Hard to be a real man in a dog-eat-dog society!

In a world that screams at men to 'grow up', 'act your age', 'be responsible' comes this insightful little clip that challenges the way we perceive each other (as men) and breaks through the 'calloused' exteriors required in order for men to survive.... and of course, when this happens - there's always others around who are more than happy to shoot you down.

Great film - brilliantly acted. Billy Bob was just fine, as too his skipping little partner!

Many deep and profound levels to this little ripper - only the discerning and contemplative types would probably get it though. I was moved - humorous, playful, tragic...

A rare classic in a sea of tired-old plots and ridiculous CGI experiments. Well worth the watch.
