Heather Locklear, Hilary Duff, Chris Noth, and Aria Wallace in The Perfect Man (2005)

Review by wordsarereal

The Perfect Man

4/10

The Perfect Man

Unfortunately, good actors put their name on projects a little too fast at times. First of all, this movie had to convince an audience that Jean (Heather Locklear) gets a knock at the door, takes two minutes to break up and then decides to move. The entire movie takes on a sick note of role reversal, and a young girl who learns odd behavior from watching her mother. Bravo to the actors and thumbs down to the filmers for making a movie that has baby boomer appeal because of Heather Locklear, teeny bopper appeal because of Hilary Duff, but is confusing!! WHO is this movie for?? What about Carson the hilarious gay and inviting bartender? Is my 10 year old daughter going to understand the nasty deception of Holly AND the gay humor? Great pieces of acting by all, but the storyline is weird. According to press, the story is about Jan and Heather Robinson. Heather Robinson is played by Hilary Duff. Heather Locklear plays the Mum Robinson. The studios must be getting a bit desperate. This one seemed like a pity date for writers and directors.
