This movie is actually much better than the other reviews here say. Don't get me wrong, it's not really a good movie, and a lot of what people are saying is true: the plot is both nonsensical and predictable, the performances are uneven to say the least, and the whole thing sometimes veers into unintentional comedy. What the movie gets right though is good pacing, well done action scenes (albeit only two, very brief, ones), and a charming lead in Haylie Duff, a much better actress then her career so far requires or would imply. So not some sort of hidden gem or future cult classic, but a perfectly pleasant watch.

Just watched this Movie Hacker (2018). I would like to say it was a very short story and even a small child of primary school can write this story! No nothing special there. The Actors did good work here especially the girl named as Laura. But that wasn't still par excellence. Background Musics were good and screenplay was also good to watch because it have very low duration. Overall nothing special there in this movie, you can consider it as One time watch, if you're free and bored at home and nothing to do then you can go for it. Anyway 4 out of 10 Stars from my side.

This movie was hard to finish because it was one of those that you regret starting and wish you had never even started in the first place. It was bad all the way around, fake acting and plenty of plot holes you could drive a truck though. I already do not like Duff so that could possibly be a factor. I have seen good Indy films but this was just not one! Duff was believable as a hacker as much as Angelina Jolie was a fireman in the movie "Those Who Wish Me Dead". This movie was a joke! She would be more believable in a sad movie because her fake expressions and just plastered on her face! I do not recommend this movie at all. Try The Best Offer (2013) or Black Butterfly (2017) Those are worth your time.

Honestly, I got 16 mins into the movie and stopped, I couldn't do it. It just want so poorly scripted and acted that I couldn't bare to watch another moment of it. I was excited to see another movie about hackers thinking it would be pretty good, but this was just nonsense. I will never get that 16 mins of my life back.

This movie is just TOO funny for words, I mean where do I begin ?

Well for a start, the plot , the script , the acting , each worse than the next .

Unbelievably BAD. We are expected to believe that Haylie/Hilary/Haylie/Hilary (whichever , ) Duff is an Intelligent Hacker ?, entangled in an assassination plot of an american politician, add in the reappearance of her long lost, supposed to be dead father , and ridiculous men in suits lurking around doorways with guns , and there you have it !

In fact the best bit of acting that you will see in this movie is the parrot in the beginning !

So if you choose to watch this movie, you have been warned.........

The plot gets more and more convoluted the longer the movie runs. In 1992 there was no internet in the home yet Dad is doing something to discover people doing things around the world. Impossible. Things just weren't done that way were they? Whatever. So young Hailey sits down to "have a go". Like she could do anything at all. Whatever!? They are going to murder someone. How long does it take to murder someone and why is it all laid out online? How does she happen to stumble upon it? The movie gets really preachy and ridiculous the further it goes. Why is anyone talking to her and her dad about anything. It's just an abortion of a film. The acting is good, the production is good, it's a good movie just that it's a really bad script and story.

Everything was terrible massive plot holes, bad acting worst 1 and half hour of my life. If your work requires you to use a computer all day your meant to have your screen higher then what your sitting on its really bad for your back.

For not being a comedy, this was top tier. Hilarious from start to finish. If you are having a bad day put this movie on. Hilarious twists and turns. Terrible acting. Awful plot. I recommend this film. My mother and I cannot stop laughing. Amazing.

You're looking at one movie and fall asleep then they decide to play a turd right after. I could see if the movies were in the same genre, but they never are. Hulu does stuff like this but movies you watched for 10 minutes and just couldn't take it anymore.

The acting (apart from Haylie) was abysmal, I thought was watching Robocops!

Now where can I start um...it has a lot of action on it this girl name Laura o Brian who's being played by Haylie duff she plays a hacker and she discovered an assassination plot of a congressman name Michael Borden who I despise so much in the movie I hate him so much I don't like him at all but anyway my favorite part of this movie where Laura sets him up and meets him at the park to get him his data back when he didn't realize he was being live stream to the whole entire world when he was saying that he's going to assassinate the congresswoman on August 5 precisely at 5 PM and Laura got even with him so he didn't know what hit him and he was being compromised I'm like busted haha and they told him to leave and all of a sudden the father threatens Borden saying that he was the criminal and then he gonna pull a gun on both Laura and John but look what happened he gets shot by a sniper thanks to Clarence the man that saved Laura earlier in the movie who about to get killed in her own place and he also hired by John so anyway I loved the movie no cap so give it a 10/10.
