Long and pained looks from Skarsgard, and feisty 'girl power' projection from Pugh - can't save this dire iteration. Shannon is just plain dull. And the chemistry between protagonists is lacking electrons. Zero juice and flat as a pancake - disappointed. Yes, slow can be good - but this never really builds any momentum to care.

I've seen the movie adaptation of "The Little Drummer Girl" with Diane Keaton and I thought that was dreadful, but it was considerably better than this clunker.

I'm watching the second episode right now and--oh, my goodness!--the series has been boring so far. It's neither exciting nor fast-paced and it could put a cup of coffee to sleep. TLDG is the kind of show which one could watch for a few minutes, go off and do something else, come back and continue viewing and not lose much of what happened.

I'm debating if I want to watch the remaining episodes.

I thought it would get better after the first episode but it didn't. Dumb plot, corny love story, and very slow. You will lose interest after episode 2.

Hollywood does it again! this time it's Palestinians. Forget the Afghanistan's version of cave dwellers. These man hoes are advanced, seductive and manipulative. They will not just only steal your gf but make her blow stuff up. Really good if you're already brainwashed.

I really shouldn't review since I only watched about 45 min but , Michael Shannon. Good god! I turned it off because of him! His accent was horrific. He was all Israelis , Israelis but sounded like Idk maybe a bad German, British accent. I couldn't take him anymore. He ruined it for me because I couldn't focus on anything because of him. It was slow and I didn't give it much of a go but get an actual non American . Since it was no problem with other characters I don't know why the cast Shannon and now I'll never know of this was a decent series....

The story, direction, cinematography and production are fine. It's just the acting that lowered overall quality to make it poor. Alex Skasgard is the only exception and were it not for his presence, I wouldn't not have finished the series tolerating the rest.
