I first saw this in the early 90s on a vhs.

Revisited it recently.

This is the sixth entry in the Howling series.

While this movie doesn't have sufficient werewolf action or kills, this one is much better than the last four parts.

The villain/vampire (Bruce Payne) in this one looks more like Thoth-Amon (man beast) from Conan the Destroyer.

This one has an offscreen sex scene n a nudity consisting of one boob, thereby taunting Total Recall's three boobs.

Howling VI (1991) was another entry in the never ending Howling saga. Thia one takes place in a small town. A sleazy little carnival is in town. Follow close by is a mysterious young man. The creepy owner of the carnival takes a liking to the kid. But does he have ulterior motives? The kid meets a nice young girl and the two become good friends. But the carny wants the girl too and what's left of the dying town.

Somewhat different take on the series. The ever so pretty Carol Lynley has a small role as the town's matriarch. Antonio Fargas has a small role as well. The shady Bruce Payne also co-stars in this bizarre flick that has a heavy jones for Paul Naschy films. Hey buddy, don't bite off the man. Try and be original for a change.

An evil traveling carnival owner, Harker, tries to capture a werewolf in a small desert town to add to his collection of "Freaks". "Howling 6-The Freaks" is a passable flick at best. The acting is okay, but the script could have used a lot of work. The characters generally weren't that interesting, though some of the freaks were more likeable than the main characters themselves! Special effects were intermitent in terms of quality--The werewolf looked very cheap, as did the transformation scenes, but the vampire make-up (By Steve Johnson no less) towards the end, as well as some of the gore effects, were quite good. I really wouldn't recommend this film--it really wasn't terrible but it WAS quite boring at times and features nothing we haven't seen a dozen or so time prior to it. My rating for "Howling 6- the freaks"--3/10.

To describe this movie in one word I would say S**T, and if given more words it's a stinker of epic proportions. This movie promises Werewolf Vs Vampire in a nail biting showdown but what you get is about five minutes of wrestling ending with the vampires death. WOW nailbiting huh. Do not get this movie out, you have been warned.

In THE HOWLING VI: THE FREAKS, a circus / freak show, run by a mysterious man, comes to a small town. Meanwhile, another mysterious stranger arrives, and many secrets come to light. The revealing of the true identities of these men leads to an explosive finale.

This installment in the seemingly endless HOWLING "series" does indeed contain several freaks, including those played by Antonio Fargas and Deep Roy! Though absurd in spots, this movie actually holds up rather well, and is certainly better than some of the other entries. The carnival itself is fairly cool, featuring some bizarre characters (The Chicken Biter! Alligator Boy!). Of course, lycanthropy plays a role as well...
