Breaker of Chains isn't nearly as excellent as the first two, but it's still a great episode. Yes, the pacing does feel a bit uneven and the rape scene was a bit unnecessary, but those are the only problems I have and everything else turned out fine.
The performances are still good, the storyline/script continues to be well-written, the directing is still solid, the relationships continue to shine, the editing is sharp, the music score is still beautiful while maintaining a sense of atmosphere, and the characters continue to be interesting. So, overall, not nearly as excellent as the first two, but it's still interesting.

I am watching Game of Thrones for the first time, and to see all this that you guys have seen is pretty cool actually. This was once again a great episode. The opening shot was amazing and so nice to see Joffrey laying dead. The acting of Lena Heady in this episode is incredible and very realistic. The thing I didn't like was Jaime. His whole character arc that has been building up from season 1 until now actually, is just thrown away in one scene, u know the one. But the ending was amazing. I love Dany so much and we haven't seen her very much this season, I hope that will change in the following episodes
The best moment of the episode came when Tyrion says to his squire that he is the most loyal squire ever lived. Tyrion is the only real good man in that witty world.
With the death of Joffrey, the Lannisters are convinced that Tyrion is the culprit. He sits in a dungeon because Sersei has the power to make a decision like that. We know this is the case and he is being used as a scapegoat because no one likes his sarcasm and disdain for their ways. He is such a sympathetic character, carrying the weight of prejudice from all avenues. His new bride is now in the hands of Littlefinger who may be the baddest of the bad in this series. His duplicity is so calculating. He is biding his time. There is now an issue as to who is in charge, since the marriage to Joffrey was never consummated. Sersei and her father begin to set the stage for the other brother. Jaime, who one moment is admirable and the next despicable, has sex with his sister next to the body of the young king. This is a hard one to watch. Meanwhile, Dany has reached the evil city she has been marching toward and there is a great Indiana Jones type scene. The Hound and Arya continue to travel together and he continues his survival of he fittest thing with some poor farmer and his daughter who do him a kindness.

- QuizAs an in-joke, the insults thrown at Daenerys and her army by the Meereneese champion are based on the taunts thrown at King Arthur and his men by the French soldiers in Monty Python e il Sacro Graal (1975), but translated into Valyrian. Although most is obscured with other dialogue, not subtitled and translated differently, this is what the champion says:
- I fart in your general direction, son of a window-dresser! Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries (Missandei translates it as "You are an army of men without men-parts").
- Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person! (Missandei claims it means "You are no woman at all, just a man who hides his c##k inside his own a##hole).
- I wave my private parts at your aunties!
- I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed, animal food-trough wiper!
- I blow my nose at you, so-called Dragon Queen! You and all your silly Westerosi kaniggets (the Meereenese champion even mispronounces the word "knights").
- BlooperPer the script, the insults used by the Meereenese champion are the same as the taunts said by the French to Arthur in Monty Python e il Sacro Graal (1975); however, Missandei's translation of them is quite different (possibly on purpose).
