I've been hearing about this story and it's anime/Donghua coming out soon on Twitter , and I was like, we definitely have a look and my God episode didn't disappoint at all. I am a Donghua only soo I can't speak about stuff that were or were not included from the novel, but after epsidoe 1 I will say this, this Donghua is destined for greatness. The mystery, the darkness vibe, horror like vibe, the animation, how fluid it looks, the ost's all top tier
The first part of episode 1 was okay but the 2nd half brought the heat, Dunn Smith and Co joing the party had me on my feet, I couldn't wait to come write a review,I be off soon to finish episode 2 and then start playing the waiting game.

Yeah, they skipped many things.
However, these things aren't important (klein eating, spending 3 chapters to buy his cane, 3 chapters to buy his house).
Its a premier, so it need to be entertaining.
They did a really good job about the pacing.
If you don't understand anything, don't worry, it was the same, maybe even worse, for us reader.
The animation is really, really good. I think I never saw that before. There is alot of details, in the flowers, for exemple. The song, especially the ending, are incredible too.
As a reader, it's clearly not a disappointment, and I didn't think the animation would be this good.
10/10.

I had never tried a Chinese dub before, but this one really surprised me-in the best way. The story is incredibly engaging, a true dark fantasy filled with layers of mystery. The concept of the main character inhabiting someone else's body without inheriting their memories is refreshingly unique-or at least, it feels that way to me.
Honestly, I was hesitant at first because it's labeled as an isekai, and I expected it to follow the usual tropes. But this series stands out completely and more than deserves the buzz it's getting across social media. I truly hope it keeps up this momentum.
The animation is on another level, far beyond what we saw in Solo Leveling, which, to be frank, lacked a strong plot. If Lord of the Mysteries maintains this quality, it absolutely deserves to win next year's awards.

TL:DR - Beautiful, but requires your full attention right off the bat.
Alright, it's a great visual experience; the visuals are dazzlingly beautiful.
The transmigration, gray fog, nighthawk introduction, psychic test, ravings and everything else is animated superbly.
I had some doubts regarding the pacing, which is alleviated slightly now that I've watched the first 2 episodes, but it's likely too fast for most anime-onlys. Make sure you read subs if you want to understand!
I feel as though they put less emphasis on the situation Klein found himself in. Just a brief mention of a problem at hand to which any normal person, including Klein in the source material, has some more thoughts to share on. Especially the fast-spoken chinese dub, which is admittedly the best chinese dub I've ever come across, still a bit fast though.
Speaking of the dubs, a non-simultaneous release of other languages may really hurt the series, alongside the poor Crunchyroll marketing and both episodes being premium-only.
That's about the only critique I could come up with, yeah it's really good. The chinese voice acting itself sounds very good, directing is amazing, soundtrack is godlike and we can already catch glimpses of The Fool's aura.
It's a very promising exposition with transcendent potential, hence my high rating, which could still vary if I find more striking issues. Very recommendable.

So guys LOTM is set in a Victorian-inspired world filled with secret organizations, ancient pathways, forgotten gods, and eldritch whispers, LOTM NOVEL slowly pulls you into a story that's as cerebral as it is thrilling. Every diary entry, dream, and tarot session contains a clue. LOM anime is kinda fast paced so Here's what I'd recommend paying attention to if you're starting the journey:
- The 22 Beyonder Pathways - Each one shapes the user's powers and destiny. Understanding who's on what pathway adds so much depth.
- Historical logs & Roselle's diary - They're not filler. They're the blueprint for everything.
- The timeline - Events that feel random early on turn out to be huge setups for future arcs.
- Organizations - From the Churches to the mysterious Orders, tracking who's allied with whom makes the political drama hit harder.
- Tarot Club scenes - Dripping with double meanings.
- Klein's inner monologue - You'll see the gaps between what he thinks is happening and what's actually going on.
- Outer gods and Lovecraftian elements - Start subtle, end cosmic. Trust me. If y'all need need a detailed guide please please check out @Emlyn white on YT or IG.
